With 4 comfortable bedrooms, 3 with a queen size bed, and plenty of bunks this property easily sleeps 14 guests. The kitchen is equipped for full meals and more. Amenities include coffee maker, microwave, full-sized fridge and toaster. The home is newly renovated with open concept floor plan and game room on the lower walk out. A full sized dining table can seat everyone. There is a sitting area just off the dining room for reading and visiting with family and friends. Off the living room enjoy a beautiful deck overlooking the lake. This brand new two-bath home has a first floor shower and a nearby full laundry. Wi-fi included with two smart TVs to enjoy Netflix and Disney Plus! Linens and towels are provided for our guests.
This secluded retreat is located on 20 acres between Amherst and Waupaca Wisconsin. Private with access to the water it is sure to help you build special memories. The property also comes with a private dock, 2 kayaks and paddleboat on the lake. Located on the south end of the property just a golf cart ride away from Spring Lake, its quiet location set back from one of Wisconsin’s Rustic Roads will make you feel like you are in a car commercial.
ATV/Snowmobile trails are adjacent to the property with plenty of parking for large trailers and trucks. Trails wind through the property for private adventures! Enjoy hiking, swimming, nature walks, rafting, kayaking, and fishing on this spacious property. The large flat yard make the property perfect for outside games and activities. The entire property features large Oak trees with wildlife abound. In the evening enjoy a private bonfire at the fire-pit which overlooks the lake on one of the many high points of the property with breathtaking views. Outside you will find a picnic table, lawn chairs (6), gas grill and large fire pit area.
Sunset Bay is located less than 13 miles outside Waupaca that contains several wonderful restaurants, gift shops, grocery stores, delis and the famous chain o’ lakes. Pontoon rentals are available for at Ding’s Dock. Located only 8 miles away is Lake Emily Park. Lake Emily Park offers a boat launch (fishing and water sports), hiking trails, beach, and picnic areas. Sunset Bay is also 7 miles away from Standing Rocks Park, also great for hiking, cross country & downhill skiing in the winter. It is 45 minutes from the Fox River Mall in Appleton, WI and 20 minutes from UW-Stevens Point.
Nearby attractions include several micro-breweries (Central Waters, Oso's, Yak and Point Brewery), a micro-distillery (Great Northern), the Waupaca Chain o’ Lakes, the Iola Old Car Show, Experimental Air Craft Association Fly-in, Midwest Renewable Energy Fair, UW –Stevens Point, Iola Winter Carnival, The World’s Largest Trivia Contest and the Waupaca Art Festival. There are miles of near-by trails with the Tomorrow River Trail, Ice Age Trail and Green Circle Trail.

Summary: We enjoyed the game room, golf carts, hot tub and fire pit area. We just wanted to hang out and be together and the house worked perfectly for what we were looking for.

Summary: Walked into this beautiful, but well lived in home. The beautiful view from the deck is as pictured, however we could not go outside because there was roughly 50 bees swarming around the deck. I texted the manager right away and the owners father showed up to spray the bees. After spraying the bees and leaving us some spray the bees seemed mostly better. When he was there he told us about the golf cart tire that had a hole. And his son needed to order a new one. Well as you can see they advertise 2 golf carts and only one was operational. Later we took the operational cart out and it was an awful experience! The alignment is so far off that the steering wheel was a quarter turned and then it was driving straight.Not only that the trails they advertise are grown over so we were getting burrs stuck on us all over. The trails are so extremely bumpy that they should not be used for a golf cart but instead an ATV or UTV. The whole golf cart situation was extremely dangerous! I again contacted the manager and she said she was prepared to give us a refund and for us to figure out how much. I texted her and threw a number out there and then she said I don’t think the owners would agree to that much. Then the offer we received from management was a late check out. I told the manager that we were not able to check out late and that was not a suitable refund. Now after contacting her she is not getting back to me at all. Not a good way to do a business. Don’t rent this house!

Summary: We stayed here for our annual Labor Day trip with friends. The listing doesn’t do this property justice.. it was incredible! Not only is the upstairs a huge open concept that allowed our group of 10 to hang out as a group, the downstairs had ping pong and shuffle board for us to play, along with a hot tub for us to enjoy! The use of the golf carts was a very nice added bonus that allowed us to explore the property more (which has amazing lookout views of the surrounding area)! Many comments were made by our group about how amazing it was to be closer to home but feel so far away with how secluded you are. This is one of the best places we’ve stayed so far!

Summary: Great place for a fantasy draft weekend, had golf/fishing and beach nearby. Really nice firepit area and big parking lot/yard area in the front. Plenty of space inside house as well for cards and great sleeping arrangements

Summary: House is on a large private wooded lot. We enjoyed the golf carts and hiking trails. A little disappointed in the lake because it was quite a long distance from the house and down a steep hill. We expected it to be more accessible from the house. Plus the water was very weedy and not swimmable. It rained one day and the pier was half submerged in the water. The house was clean and roomy. Kitchen could have been a bit better stocked. We had to go to the store to get salt because all the containers in the house were empty. There was plenty of towels available which was nice. Overall we enjoyed our stay here, the scenery and views are spectacular!

Summary: Our family of 14 vacation together in a different location every year. This year we headed back to the area where the Matriarch and Patriarch met and married. We also had a family reunion in Stevens Point with 34 people during our stay. The house was a perfect fit for us. The only thing we felt missing was shampoo and soap in the showers. So make sure to bring your own!!

Summary: The property and home were exactly what we envisioned! Spacious and clean with quiet and gorgeous acreage. Plenty of parking space for several vehicles since most in our group arrived separately. We enjoyed the golf carts, bonfires and s’mores and making meals in the open kitchen / dining / family room area. We enjoyed the close proximity to brewery, grocery stores and small town shops and baked goods. We are grateful for the time with family at this property and look forward to our return soon!
