Four Season Retreat! Quiet and restful and perfect for Social distancing in our present environment, Fireplace, yard and field, deck and gas grill. Perfect place to chill 20 miles to Manchester/Dorset/Rutland. An hour and 10 min drive to Saratoga Racetrack in summer. Full kitchen for cooking/eating and smaller group entertaining. Large house 4,400 SF, walk-out bottom level presently unfinished (Will be doing in parts over the next 12-24 months)

Summary: We enjoyed this private, vacation home in Danby. Located at the top of a private dirt road, the house has a lovely open layout of the kitchen, dining, and living spaces, with a smaller space to watch TV and/or enjoy the mountain views. The ground floor Master bedroom suite has a comfortable King bed and walk-in closet. There are no shades in this room, so eye shades are highly recommended for those who want to try to sleep-in. A new BBQ works well for those who enjoy grilling (fuel source is from the house so no need to worry about tanks). The second floor has two nice bedrooms each with spectacular views. Gentle suggestions to improve the experience for future guests include a more thorough cleaning of active spaces (i.e. the kitchen, counters, drawers, refrigerator), as well as corners given local spider population. Also, trash must be taken to the local Danby transfer station. Perhaps consider a safe/secure garbage/recycling bin with private trash pickup. Finally, the downstairs basement appeared to be a work-in-process. Once that space is finished, I could imagine a wonderful extended family / friends visits with multiple generations, playing pool, ping pong, and other fun filled activities. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return at a later time.

Summary: A stunning property with the most amazing views. I don't normally like to wake up early but the sunrises at this home were not to be missed. The owners were very responsive when we needed them for a minor issue with plowing and the issue was resolved immediately. My only critique of this property is the lack of basic utensils like wooden spoons in the kitchen. We like to cook and there weren't enough tools to do so adequately. Don't let that deter you from staying at this beautiful home! We will be back.

Summary: Four of us spent a wonderful week in this lovely home. Comfortable beds, clean and well equipped kitchen, gorgeous views from the deck. Very responsive hosts. We had lots of fun swimming and canoeing at the nearby, uncrowded Emerald Lake State Park. Nice restaurants and wonderful book store in Manchester.

Summary: Steve was quick to respond to all questions. The house was pristine, clean private. The views were glorious. A perfect place to go to after a hot week of show jumping. Great restaurants nearby. Will love to stay again .

Summary: I had a great stay! The house and property were lovely, Steve and Mandy were gracious and accommodating hosts, and it was the perfect location near many hikes, lakes, and charming towns. It was the ideal place to be able to work remotely and still enjoy the outdoors and beauty of Vermont. I definitely recommend!
