It is an upgrade from our beautiful Hycliff Lodge. It has a swimming pool. The path is easier to decent to the Lake. Stoney Ridge offers a double-decker private dock. There is a fully glassed in sun porch with unbelievable views of Smith Mountain Dam and Leesville Lake. Sleeps 8. (3 Bedrooms= 2 queen beds and 2 bunk beds)

Two kayaks are provided for your enjoyment. Leesville Lake is 17 miles long from dam to dam with 2 marinas to service your boat. The QuatroneHousing Associationn has its own boat ramp and dock to use, or there are public boat ramps close by.
Spring is beautiful as the forest and lake come to life. Summer is the perfect time to enjoy the lake. The fall season offers a beautiful view of the changing leaves in the heavily wooded area. Winter allows dramatic views of the lake and a great time to spend the holidays with family.

Summary: we loved the place - all so beautiful and clean. perfect communication and directions about things. the only down side was the treck to the dock. we were fine but had we brought my parents they wouldn’t have been able to enjoy. i felt it wasn’t clear enough on the way to the dock.

Summary: It's a good idea to read the comments before pulling the trigger on this property. The property is priced fairly - worth every penny - but you're not going to get the type of lake or the type of access that you pay more for on Smith Mountain Lake. The hike to the lake is very steep - about 160 vertical feet. For some people, it won't be doable. And the lake is not always accessible for swimming, etc, because of the current during dam release. But - the trail down is well maintained. The lake is swimmable when the current isn't running. The lake is beautiful for boating and fishing. And the dock, especially at sunset, is a special place. I would rent here again. For my family, this place was great! We didn't mind the hike, and we found the things that make the lake...unique... really interesting. The sunsets over Smith Mountain were some of the most beautiful I've seen. And access to Smith Mountain Lake (Beach access, boat rental) is only 30 minutes away.

Summary: We had a great time! We hung out on the dock and enjoyed the peace that nature brings. The provided board games and movies were a huge hit. Smith Mountain Lake was a short drive and had a fantastic beach. We will be adding this property to our list of favorites. Thank you, Theresa!

Summary: We were very pleased with our weekend stay at the cabin. Checking in was simple, and the property owners were very helpful/ easy to get in touch with. We did have one problem with the cabin during our stay, but this issue was resolved quickly by the property owners. We did hang out at the water for a day, and I wanted to provide a little information on that. There is a trail on the property that leads down to the lake. The hike is difficult as advertised, but not impossible. The dock is very nice. Seriously though, be mindful of the current. When we first got there, the water was slack so we swam for a bit. Within the hour, the pumps at the dam kicked on which drastically changed things. It’s exhausting to swim against the current in that situation. Kayaking in it wasn’t an issue. We tied a rope from a life jacket to the dock, which worked well. All in all, very pleased with the stay and would recommend to anyone looking to go unplugged for a weekend.

Summary: The property is beautiful and Theresa is a fantastic host. Kept in touch with us the whole time and answered all questions when we had them. The house is isolated so very nice for folks trying to have some solitude. The walk down to the lake is a bit of a workout but worth it for the view and time on the water.

Summary: Loved the location if we were gonna hang out at the cabin all day. A little bit of a drive to SML and anything else really. But very clean and nice. Wouldn’t recommend if you want to use the lake. Quite a hike down and back. If you wanna hang out at the cabin highly recommend.

Summary: This is a really nice hidden get away spot. Everything went really well during our stay here. Very clean and nicely furnished. Very private. The hike to the lake is challenging, just as advertised and we enjoyed the workout. No WiFi just as advertised but Verizon had enough of a signal for our needs. We had a great long weekend and would certainly go back again.

Summary: I rented this property to take my father, brother and his future father in law fishing as a best mans gift. The property was well kept as well as clean however it is way off the beaten path and not near any local hotspots such as Smith mountain lake which is a 30 min ride to put your boat in. It is however on Leesville lake with a dock but it is a hike to get down and up to the lodge as it is a very steep trail. The driveway almost demands a 4wd and with 2 boats that need to be charged it is demanding on vehicle's performance. However it is an excellent place to disconnect and relax and I would recommend it if you don't mind driving or bringing your own food.

Summary: The Lodge was very secluded but our gps took us right to it. It was very clean and had everything we needed to cook and enjoy our stay. We loved the welcome sign in the kitchen personalized to us and at the end of our long days of fishing and hiking we enjoyed making milkshakes and watching movies. The hike down to the dock was a little steep but we took everything we needed so we wouldn’t have to go up and down. It was only 20 minutes from the dam and the state park and it was a beautiful ride to the destinations. We loved our time away and loved our stay at the Lodge.
