Positive: Jo’s Bed and Breakfast located in the beautiful, quaint, quiet,  leafy Diemen suburb of Amsterdam was, hands’ down, the best lodging we have ever experienced. A short walk or bike ride to quick transportation to Amsterdam’s center, a bountiful shopping center, and nearby university campuses and residences, Jo’s provided the best of all worlds for convenience, rest and a home away from home. (Free parking is also included…a bonus in the Greater Amsterdam area!!) In addition to the outstanding, impeccably clean, quiet,  tastefully and cheerily, well-appointed decorated historic home, Jo and Karen were the best hosts in our well-traveled experiences. They provided a delicious, fresh, home-cooked varying breakfast full of Dutch treats and settings. A basket of fragrant freshly baked breads and rolls, amazing pancakes, omelettes, fresh fruit and incredible fresh squeezed juice with endless supplies of high quality coffees and teas welcomed us each morning. They graciously and immaculately cleaned our private room and bathroom every day, offered thoughtful solutions to all of our inquiries and challenges and joined us in meaningful and memorable conversations. From a variety of personal notes, small Dutch gifts, chocolates, greetings in our language, plush robes and in-room refreshments to suggestions on tours, dining and shopping, their fabulous hospitality was second to none. If you are moving your child into university, or on business or are visiting Amsterdam as a tourist or are looking for a quiet, convenient alternative to the center’s chaos, Jo’s Amsterdam Bed and Breakfast is the place to stay. You will not be disappointed!! You will leave with newfound friends…not just hosts. We plan on coming back and telling all of our friends. Thank you for a most memorable experience!!! Positive: Great place for people who like staying with locals. Jo and Karen will provide nice food and long conversations. I also recommend very comfy bed. Nice location for concerts in Arena - only few minutes bus ride from there.

Positive: Breakfast was incredible . We had the entire top floor to ourselves. The bed was extremely comfortable. And the tram into the city was only a five minute walk. We couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing long weekend.

Positive: We stayed in this lovely apartment in Diemen for 4 days while exploring Amsterdam, and it was a wonderful experience. The location is very convenient - there’s an easy tram connection to the city center. The apartment itself, located on the second floor of a townhouse (with the hosts living downstairs), was cozy, spotless, and well-equipped. The hosts were absolutely amazing - they served delicious breakfasts every morning and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Everything was cleaned daily, and they offered great recommendations, tasty food, and warm hospitality. We felt very welcome and truly cared for. Highly recommended!

Positive: Clean, quiet, excellent breakfasts and public transportation was convenient. Jo and Karen went above and beyond by driving us to and from Keukenhof Gardens, and then a very early drive to the airport.

Positive: Jo and Karen were amazing hosts, attentive, professional, personable and friendly - nothing too much trouble. Happy to help give advice on things to do. Arrived as strangers and left as friends. Lovely variety of continental breakfast options and evening meal provided upon request at additional charge, all good quality food. Parking included right outside property in safe and quiet neighbourhood. Location is 5 minute walk from local restaurants and tram stop into the city of Amsterdam. 20 minutes tram ride into city for all tourist attractions to suit all ages. Large,comfortable bed, stable wifi, smart tv and tea\ coffee facilities in room, fresh fruit available. Very clean in entire property. Great bathroom and shower facilities. Great place to stay in every aspect!
Negative: Nothing to dislike whatsoever, just an amazing place to stay.
