Positive: It is in a classic Hutong area in Central Beijing and that is so much nicer as these modern, non-descript hotels in the modern parts of Beijing. Very close to 3 main metro lines, 10 minutes walking.
Negative: However, it is clearly a large private house turned into hotel. People do their best, but the whole things airs more something like an AirBNB as a professional hotel. Daughter of the house speaks very good English, but others not. Credit card payment happened to work in my case, but initially they were not sure. Basics like beds, hot water and so on are ok. I could not make the heating work, but the duvet was warm enough. It was a nice hutong experience for one time as an alternative for a modern hotel, but if you want to have luxury go elsewhere. If found it slightly overpriced for what you got. There is no clear sign - using the map which was precise I ended up in front of a big red door, and a bystander told me this was indeed the hotel. Knocked - rang the bell and I was in. But in other feedback you see that people ended up searching for a while. They do not offer breakfast but lots of eateries including a Starbucks nearby.
Summary: Nice hutong experience, but if you want to have luxury go elsewhere
