Positive: The location was perfect.

Negative: Unable to get food or drink once breakfast has ended and dinner began (11-16:00). Rooms were small and in need of TLC. Most of the furniture was IKEA. Spa is only open on request. The hotel is vacant of staff. It was not encouraged to use the bar. I had asked for a dessert in the bar with a cocktail but was refused by the waiter. Lots of elements fell very short of a 4 star experience at a 5 star price.

Summary: 5 star hotel on a Temu budget.

Negative: Needs bigger side tables in bedroom Hated the turf carpeting. In the stairs, elevator and hallways.

Positive: The staff was phenomenal. From the ladies at check in to Omron at the bar. Extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. We also loved the food at the restaurant. Breakfast and dinner. All excellent. Our room was very nice. Bed was comfortable. Lots of pillows, which I love. On site parking was also great.

Negative: The decor. I hated the black hallways. The graphic artwork in the halls was fun, but overdone. All the dried flowers in the lobby. The different decorative styles all mashed together— modern shapeless sofas with elaborate crystal chandeliers. The pink mosaic tiles all over the bathroom with the mirrored ceiling. The artificial turf on the stairs and elevators. It’s such a beautiful old building! I wish someone had spent more money and expertise on the decor.

Positive: Location is good, check in staff was amazing she couldn’t have been more helpful & cheerful - a true asset to the hotel!

Negative: There is no sign for the car park when you’re driving up the one way busy street, so if you miss it like us and several other cars you have to do a 0.5 mile detour around, with the amount of traffic this could take 15 minutes +. Rooms need an iron in, there is an ironing room with 1 iron on the ground floor so you have to take what ever you need down, family of six was a pain. Nothing major but when you paying top money you expect the simplest things like a iron.

Positive: The property was beautiful, centrally located, and easily accessible to local attractions. The restaurant was beautiful and had a wonderful breakfast spread. The staff was kind and helpful. And our room was quaint, clean, comfortable and adorably decorated. We had a sanctuary view, which was stunning, especially at night.

Positive: The outdoor jacuzzi has a fantastic view and onsite parking is a plus. The staff was also very polite and friendly.

Negative: The rooms are tight and our room smelled like cigarettes even though it was a non-smoking room. The entire building feels as though it is on a bit of a slant - kind of leans downhill. The restaurant service was incredibly slow. The bathroom shower really does not contain the water within the shower. I am not sure it meets our standard of "Spa" - it is kind of a poor man's version of other spas we have stayed at.

Summary: The hotel has some issues, but it worked out ok for our visit.
