Positive: BelKampar was the perfect choice for our family get together, spacious, well appointed but still cosy. So much to do, from chilling out with a book, watching movies or enjoying the beautiful gardens. Sarah went out of her way to ensure our weekend was as comfortable as possible and we'll definitely be back!

Positive: The house is large and great for 2 or 3 families. It had a reasonably well equipped kitchen, bedrooms in two separate zones, multiple living areas, plenty of things to relax with like books, DVS, and games, and OMG the fireplace was amazing. Most importantly of all, Sarah was incredibly responsive to messages, and Stanley was friendly and available to help us when we needed it. The caretaker's house is 30m away from the main building but still quite separated and private. Beautiful property with gardens, resident sheep and cats, and a trampoline which the kids loved. The only reason we didn't give a 10 is because we save 10 for absolute perfection! While we still kept the place clean of course, it was so nice to feel like the owners didn't have the AirBnB standard of 'you must clean everything before 10am on check out' that other plcaes do.
Negative: Would have loved a coffee or nespresso machine, also while we understand that fireplace causes some dust about and we don't expect total cleanliness in the country, it was a bit scary looking under the couches and beds for things left behind and lost toys, they could do with a bit more regularity to cleaning in those hidden spaces. Clothes racks for drying items that can't go in the clothes dryer would be good.
Summary: Excellent multi-zoned home for groups of 8-12, incredibly friendly and attentive hosts

Positive: This is our 2nd year at Belkampar, and we love love love it. It has everything we need, so homey and comfortable for all our families. So close to the lake. Cherished memories for our special group of friends. So well stocked kitchen that I get to indulge in baking and feeding everyone and many wonderful meals shared at the Bonnie Doon pub when we are too tired from boating and skiing all day. Exceptional space for everyone to be together but still have quiet space if needed. Did I mention how much we love it here and how comfortable the space makes us all feel. Sarah & Stan are outstanding hosts.
Negative: The house is like going to your own home. It's not perfect. It's lived in. But it's so so comfortable. There really isn't anything we dont love.
Summary: Our home away from home but with added peace and tranquillity...
