This well appointed, two bedroom house is nestled in a quiet area 5 minutes walk from the Bendigo Stadium and less than 5 minutes drive to the Bendigo CBD. It is a great base from which to explore our wonderful town of Bendigo. Set in an historic overlay area this home endeavours to offer old style charm and feel but with all the modern creature comforts.
Come and experience Bendigo from one of it's original gold mine "diggings" areas. Set amongst the workings of the Moonta mine and overlooked by an original mining poppet head, the walking tracks around Bell's Retreat are just the start of what Bendigo has to offer.
Bell's Retreat is apart of Bel''s Cottage Collective, which includes two other fantastic holiday rentals, the original Bell's Cottage built in 1866 and Bell's Hideaway another brand new, purpose built, holiday home. Your hosts, Cindy and Trev Bell, have been in the holiday rental industry for nearly ten years and strive to ensure all guests have a relaxing and enjoyable time at their holiday accommodation.

Summary: This is our second stay at Bell's Retreat and it again exceeded our expectations. Close to every part of Bendigo, quiet and secure. Excellent heating, warm and cosy beds, large rooms. The house is stocked with just about every item a traveller could wish for. Cooking meals was easy. The pantry and kitchen have so many basic supplies and items so many other holiday rentals don't. The hosts make check in and check out a breeze as well as being available via phone if required. The whole process is easy. Thank you again for a wonderful stay. We will definitely stay again if we return to Bendigo.

Summary: This property is exactly as described and had even more essential items than we hoped. It made it easy to cook and eat meals in the home and to have our usual home comforts from the moment we walked in the door. We had fun playing board games and my husband was able to work using the handy office nook. The house is very clean and the heating/cooling is very effective. The sealed backyard and lock up garage made it safe for our toddler and our belongings. The location was absolutely perfect, not just for the stadium (our main reason for staying) but for every part of Bendigo that we wished to visit. Most places took only 5-10 minutes to travel too making sight-seeing a breeze. The hosts make it clear they are available if needed and check in is easy. It is obvious the hosts are well experienced in holiday rentals as there wasn't a single item I could think of that wasn't available. We will definitely stay again!
