Positive: The setting is absolutely fabulous and the outdoor lounging area is fantastic. The kitchen is very well equipped.
Negative: The BBQ was extremely filthy to the point that it was not usable. There were maggots on the BBQ plate. The basin and bath plugs were all leaking and needs new seals. The bathroom basin taps in the main house had no pressure and this is probably why there was no hot water to the basin. Having an indoor lounging area would be great.
Summary: We enjoyed it very much but there were some frustrations.

Positive: What wasn't there to like? Jody was the most kind and generous host. We felt at home and she was always super helpful with any questions we had. The property itself is set on the most beautiful land - lush and green and right by the river. The house itself had many parts we could enjoy as a family and also the kids absolutely loved it. The deck was perfect for our morning Yoga and for our BBQ catch ups. Loved the chicken coop that the kids could feed scraps to, and also the gardens were so expansive - perfect for family soccer, easter egg hunts and hide and seek! Jodie had some fantastic recommendations of nearby places to visit and we also organised an amazing at-home masseuse for the ladies (which I highly recommend). The beauty of the stay is that Jodie and her partner run an amazing Canoe business from the side of the property so the entire family could also organise our own canoe adventure from our place. It was magical. I would highly, highly recommend the Bellingen Converted Cottage to anyone considering staying in Bellingen!

Positive: What’s not to like!? The location is excellent - close to Bellingen but not in the thick of it, RIGHT on the river on a gorgeous leafy property. The home is quite something - lovely high ceiling, very well-equipped kitchen, comfy bedrooms, great recreational facilities and an EXCEPTIONAL host who really went above and beyond to do whatever she could to make our stay wonderful.

Positive: It was such a beautiful, homely property, right on the river. It was close enough to everything yet far enough away like you were in a hidden retreat. It was nice and spacious and accommodated my 3 staff who were away working for two nights. There was plenty of entertainment and activity options if you wanted, or you could just sit back and do nothing at all. Excellent cooking facilities
