Positive: The place is super clean and very comfortable. The view of the olive trees and the valley is very beautiful. The host is very kind and very helpful with tips for the area.

Negative: everything was just great.

Positive: Well designed newly built stone home in the middle of a Olive Grove on the outskirts of a old village called Ambelouzos. Just the sound of the local goat bells tinkling in the wind = Idyllic ! - Lovely hostess provided some exceptional Cretan hospitality. Walking distance to "Gortys" and a local museum. Nice central location for visiting local beaches and "Phaistos" by car. We loved it here.....

Negative: On a tall pole; facing directly onto the home is a spot light and a video camera = It felt like we were being "monitored" . It should also be noted that there are 2 brand new rental homes on this property very close to each other. During our stay there was no one renting the second home. So we had the whole compound to ourselves with no noisy neighbors = But if there is another family using the second home it could affect your peace and enjoyment of the property.

Positive: What a wonderful place to stay. For us it was perfect. Peaceful, secluded without being too far away from the village, magnificent Mountain Views and the perfect location for exploring or just relaxing. Our hosts were amazing too. Friendly, incredibly helpful and rightfully proud of what they have created. If this is the sort of location you are looking for we can’t recommend it enough. Thank you for sharing and making our stay so special. We will definitely be back when we can.

Negative: We only booked 6 nights. Nowhere near enough.

Summary: Best place we’ve seen in the 4 times we’ve been to Crete.
