Summary: Check in time should be earlier. Taking into account that check out is at 10am check in at 5pm makes you lose almost one day of tour stay

Summary: In tegenstelling tot wat er op de website stond (inmiddels aangepast) was het zwembad eind september niet meer open en voor onze kleine kinderen is de branding van de Atlantische kust te wild. Dit was echt een tegenvaller. Het huis zelf voelt smoezelig en een aantal zaken, zoals de koelkast en de wasmachine, zijn aan vervanging toe. Het tegenover gelegen hotel had in onze week vier avonden livemuziek die tot twaalf uur duurde. Houd er ook rekening mee dat tegen het einde van het seizoen, en dat is vanaf half september, veel winkels (o.a. bakker om de hoek) sluiten. Het complex is goed onderhouden, de caretaker hulpvaardig en de locatie perfect voor dagtrips naar het achterland of grotere kustplaatsen. Al met al hebben wij een leuke week gehad maar we vonden het prijs/kwaliteitsniveau in het naseizoen niet in verhouding.

Summary: Schitterende omgeving de Costa La Luz mooi complex. Helaas stond beheerder er niet zou er tussen 1700 en 2000 zijn. Geen airco slecht schoongemaakt en goedkope licht vergane inrichting. Mooi zwembad, schitterend strand op loopafstand.

Summary: We were here with family of all ages and had a wonderful time. The location is great for checking out the Atlantic coast and southern Spain - 1 hour to Cadiz, 1 1/2 hours to Gibraltar. The good: The house is large with great security (you need keys to get in AND out of the complex). Great grounds. Has 4 bedrooms and 2 1/2 bathrooms - you could even sleep 12, if 2 slept on the couches in the living room. The pool is fantastic and you are about 150 meters walk to the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. Mid-June the weather was pleasant - warm and sunny, but not too hot. Some wind most days. The house has a washing machine (no dryer) and a dishwasher and plenty of dishes and silverware. There is secure parking right under the unit. Small Market nearby. The bad: The rental company is in France, though the owner seems to be Dutch. All of the contracts and materials were sent to us in French, so it was a bit of a challenge to read them. The unit was also quite hard to find - the directions sent to us were poor and we had to call Holland as well as the local agent several times. It's in a complex called Jardines de los Atunes before you get to the Hotel Melia Atlanterra, but things are not well marked, especially if you arrive in the evening/nighttime. There is also no oven or even a toaster - there is a microwave, stove and a good-sized fridge and freezer. So no pizzas for the kids. The kitchen knives are very dull. The internet is non-existent in the house. In order to get the Hotel Wi-fi from next door, you would need a password, which is not supplied. We ended up going to a bar downtown (4 km away) which is below the public library and using the library internet. That saved us. The parking is right under the unit, but it's extremely tight, and as this is the first unit near the gate, you have to do some driving gymnastics to fit into the spaces. There are two spaces - get the smallest rental car you can - it makes turning around in the garage much easier. Only one gate key - a problem with 2 cars/drivers. Lastly - this is the first 'beach house' we have rented that had no beach towels! We had exactly 8 bath towels for 8 people, and there were no beach towels. We washed our towels often and doubling up on our use of them. There were beach toys, though - which was nice. Overall, the layout of the house and the location of the house are great - 8 of us had plenty of room and plenty of fun. Fixing some of these details would have made the experience 5 star.

Summary: Over de gastvrijheid ter plekke is lastig wat te zeggen omdat lang niet alles meer open was in de nabijheid van het huis. We hebben een heerlijke vakantie gehad!

Summary: Heerlijke vakantie in La Casa Azúl. Goed gelegen ten opzichte van strand en zwembad. Kleine min is de muziek van het hotel 's avonds. Maar dat is wel om 12 uur 's nachts afgelopen. En de schoonmaak kan beter (rook naar hond, veel stof op de grond en keukenkastjes met vingerafdrukken). Helaas dus toch zelf nog even aan de slag gemoeten, maar daarna volop genoten.

Summary: Jardines de Zahara is the best of the complexes in Atlanterra - great pool, lovely houses. This house had a double bed in the basement and great patio furniture in the back - really good. Close to Melia hotel so can pick up wifi signal (extra cost). Noise coming from the road and the Melia hotel. No oven.

Summary: Super verblijf in Casa Azul, met onze kinderen en kleinkinderen! (3 echtparen en 3 kindjes tussen 5 en 2 jaar). Zahara de los Atunes\/Atlanterra is een toplocatie voor wie een variatie aan activiteiten wil doen! Op 5 minuutjes van het strand en als je niet je eigen parasols en stoeltjes wil meenemen, heb je de betalende ligzetels (10€ voor 2 zetels+parasol - vonden we écht niet overdreven!) direct aan het strand! Waait de viento de Levante? dan is er het uitstekend zwembad, met redders die hun job serieus nemen! De kust leent zich ook uitstekend voor surfers! ... als de wind meezit! Op een uur rijden heb je ook culturele opties Cadiz, Puerto de Santa Maria zijn de moeite om te bezoeken! Iets verder vind je Sevilla of Ronda... prachtige plaatsen! Liever wat natuur? Rij dan even het binnenland in, met het prachtige Andalusische landschap, uitgestrekte stieren- en paardenfokkerijen, de kleine dorpjes, de vele mogelijkheden tot wandelingen (vraag uitleg over senderismo). Het toeristisch kantoortje in Zahara zelf geeft goeie informatie! Tussen de urbanizacion waar het 'Casa Azul' (of hoe mijn kleinzoon het noemde ons Blauwe Huisje) zich bevindt en Zahara vind je langs de kust enkele Chiringuitos en bars gezellig met je voeten in het zand! En tegen de avond zie je de mooiste zonsondergangen! Prachtig! Een grote supermarkt vind je in Barbate, een klein kwartiertje met de auto. In Zahara zelf zijn er slechts een paar kleine supermarktjes, maar genoeg om directe behoeftes te dekken! Op 2 minuutjes wandelen van Casa Azul is een klein bakkertje, met super lekker brood, vers uit de oven 's morgens! Het huisje zelf plaats genoeg om te slapen, en bedden met goeie matrassen (hoewel de matras in de benedenruimte vrij zacht was) verse lakens elke zaterdag keuken goed uitgerust, met microgolf, afwasmachine, electrisch kookvuur de koffiezet werkte niet echt goed keukengerei, borden, tassen, bestek, keukenlinnen, etc... alles genoeg aanwezig, en schoon. De BBQ op de patio heeft ook goed dienst gedaan! Ook de wasmachine heeft heel goed dienst gedaan (belangrijk met kleine kindjes). Gezellige hoekjes in het huis de patio, het terrasje vooraan beneden en het terrasje op de eerste verdieping. (Niet zoeken naar een plaats op het dak voor een BBQ-ke... want dat is er niet) Er was ook goeie Nederlandstalige lectuur... Plezant! Het was wel erg warm in de periode dat we daar waren, en hoewel we hadden begrepen dat er airco was, was dat niet echt zo... Er stonden 2 apparaten die met koelelementen (diepvries) zouden moeten werken, maar effectief was dat niet echt. Dus enige mogelijkheid voor koelte was open vensters en deuren... maar als de viento de Levante waait is dat niet echt een optie... In de beschrijving stond ook dat er gelegenheid tot tennis was maar wij hebben enkel enkele terreinen voor paddle gevonden, geen tennis... De 'caretaker' was wel heel behulpzaam bij al onze vragen er waren problemen met één wc, en die is onmiddellijk hersteld geworden! Hij was onmiddellijk bereikbaar ook voor andere vragen. Over 't algemeen was onze vakantie zéér plezierig, zonder veel frustraties over 'kaduke' accomodatie!! Wat alles bijdraagt tot een geslaagd verblijf!!

Summary: Wir haben einen sehr entspannten und wunderschönen Urlaub im sonnigen Andalusien genossen. Wetter, Meer, Sand und vor allem die Anlage waren traumhaft. Besonders auch für Teenagerkindernist die Anlage sehr empfehlenswert...
