Other Policy Please note that the berggasthof zur todtnauer hütte is not accessible by car in winter. you can only reach us on foot or with snowshoes/touring skis/cross-country skis, we offer luggage transport for your luggage (€10 per person outward transport on the day of arrival, return transport on the day of departure). a container with a combination lock is available for luggage transport at the car park on the b317 (on google maps: https://goo.gl/maps/ebklb88mzatxy4vx6 ). this is about 1.9 mi after feldberg ort in the direction of todtnau. please leave your luggage no later than 4:00 p.m. on the day of arrival. this will be transported to the mountain inn by 6:30 p.m. on the day of departure, we will bring your luggage back to the car park on the b317 by 12:00 p.m. if you wish. you will receive another message with further information about luggage transport 3 days before arrival, in order to be able to guarantee everyone a pleasant and clean stay in winter, we have introduced a slipper regulation in the guest area. we are happy to provide you with slippers, but you are welcome to bring your own from home.

Positive: My favourite stay on the Westweg. A lovely unspoiled spot, a few hundred meters down from the top. I loved the quirky aspect of the room layout, and the place is not brand new but very comfy and clean.The room was plenty big enough with a balcony and views. The food was hearty (vegetarian and vegan), nice cold beers, all enjoyed on a terrace with stunning views down the valley. The staff were really helpful and friendly. 10 out 10 :-) Another great touch, was when the staff went off shift, we were very welcome to keep pouring drinks and settle up in the morning. Thank you all.

Positive: Amazing quiet location up high in the hills with plenty of easy parking. Food was very good, evening meal and breakfast. The staff were also very friendly and obliging. Great views all around. Access to a sauna for free was good.
Negative: Our bathroom was separate, but it was solely for us, so it's not so bad.

Positive: This place is absolutely gorgeous, the stuff is super friendly and helpful, breakfast is more than enough to feel full for couple of hours, besides you can have lunch and dinner there, with amazing selection of beer and other alcohol to chill. They have amazing covered terrace where you can admire the sunset. Not to mention the fireplace in the main dining area, the day we checked out, I couldn't imagine anything more romantic then having breakfast in warm and cozy place, having snowstorm outside. This place is absolutely a must come!
Negative: You have to be ready to walk there if the weather is snowy, the road is tricky and dangerous, we were lucky to have a nice weather going there, so we managed to drive. The owner will let you know about the road conditions before the check in date) And there are no toiletries except soap. But it's fine cause I always bring mine, just keep that in mind)
