Positive: An absolute GEM! Very friendly staff, beautiful spacious lodge in a lovely tropical garden. You find tranquility in the busyness of Ubud. No noise at night, fantastic breakfast and the staff is so helpful and kind. Their driver Darma is such a kind man. He showed us around all day and knew the best places to go.

Negative: Can’t think of anything. We loved it here.

Positive: Chose Berlima Lodges for a little luxury, as there to celebrate my birthday and the Lodges did not disappoint. From our arrival Ade, was the ultimate hostess, nothing was too much trouble. That level of hospitality just enhanced our experience making it our best stay in Bali. The Lodges themselves are beautifully presented, there is mosquito net around the comfortable bed (coils are lit every evening at dusk to minimise mosquito bites). The seating on the veranda faces the extremely well maintained gardens and pool area.

Negative: As with all of Bali, the traffic.

Positive: The tastes of the food of restaurant, fruits in the room that they give the first day, complimentary daily waters, cleanliness, decoration and nature and scenery, the staff were great. Tea and coffee and kettle in the room is a big plus. Hair dryer, all the soaps and even bath foam/bath salt is considered by the hotel,very nice. Live music in some evenings at the bar was very good. Floating breakfast as an option with extra payment is also nice. It was also good that we could contact the manager/onduty person all hours.

Negative: Unfortunately there was a construction every day for several hours in the places nearby. Lawnmowers from around worked non-stop too. These noises were not made by the hotel maybe but still made the comfort less. We couldn't have some of our breakfasts that we already pre-paid because of our tour schedules for some days, we requested having them as a meal pack. We were given only fruit juice, coffee , 2 slices of bread, small croissant , small jam/ butter and sliced fruit. We didn't get a boiled egg or sausage that we can actually get if we had the breakfast in the hotel. Our dirty towels were taken in daily room make up but weren't given properly back. Cabin number 1 is next to the workers' resting area. We stayed in Cabin 1. All the staff's talk was heard clearly inside the room, probably our talks in the room could also be heard by them. There must be another place that the workers/maid rest. Because the walls are not soundproof. Finally, if one day they want to change the safe box/chest boxes in the room then bigger boxes can be nice to put laptops in too.

Summary: Good stay , romantic ambience but could be better with some fixes

Negative: Initially, I was not placed in the room I booked, it was smaller and less cozy. And in the morning, the staff came to wake me up to move me to the room I paid for. It was very uncomfortable. Plus, there is no soundproofing in the houses and in the morning you can hear the staff preparing for the work day.

Positive: Amazing spot, amazing pool. Good service, clean room and clean bathroom. It’s just a great spot to chill and escape the rest of Bali. I didn’t want to leave the property during the day lol.

Negative: Slight smell on the toilet, this is probably the plumbing which is normal for Bali but not Australian standards. Finished plates could be taken away after your finished with them rather than once a day.
