Positive: If I could, I would give this place a 12/10. The location is stunning, the cabins are spacious, clean and beautifully appointed, and the home-cooked food delicious. But even more than that, the owners are extraordinary people. We got a flat tire while we were leaving, risking to miss our flight, and the owner and his son went above and beyond: drove us to a nearby mechanic and arranged everything with the rental so that we could leave in less than an hour. Everything with a smile. Do yourself a favour and book!

Positive: Cosy, comfortable chalets nestled at the mountain an overlooking a river. Very very friendly family who is owning the hotel, they are taking care about everything.

Negative: The lights in the rooms have mainly white light bulbs, if warmer light bulbs would be used, the houses would be even better than they are anyhow. Moskito nets in front of windows would make the stay more comfortable.

Positive: The location is super. In a very quite place but closeby many tourist sites (but you need to have your own car) They have a few goats and 2 dogs which made the stay even more enjoyable for our kid.

Negative: Nothing major, in July during daytime it can get a little hot inside (no enough air flow).. a small wall fan would be amazing.

Positive: This is a hidden gem in the heart of Rize. It has beautiful modern two-story chalets, designed and built by the owner - Hüseyin Bey. The lower level is a living area with a cozy couch, a pantry area, and extends out to a beautiful porch. The bedroom located on the upper level is extremely spacious. Just as large is the toilet! Both levels feature full length windows that let plenty of natural light in, but have black out curtains if needed. You can tell that a lot of thought and heart went into the construction of these houses. They are extremely cozy, and you can pick lots of corners to simply relax in. We stayed here for 3 nights, and because we did not drive or do tours (therefore we couldn't go to the many sites Rize has to offer), we never felt restricted by staying within the property. It was a very peaceful stay, and gave us much needed time to recharge the mind and body. The location is spectacular. It is right next to the Firtina Creek, you can hear the faint calming sound of moving water. The chalets also face a dense forest and mountains, with birds singing in the morning - immersing you further into the natural beauty of Rize. At night, when the skies are clear, I recommend walking to the nearby stone bridge, to do some stargazing. If you need a convenient place for a meal, simply walk towards the same stone bridge, there is a cafe by the creek. Note that they close around 6pm. Speaking of food, the breakfast at Berona Dağ Evleri not only looks good, but is very delicious too. Hüseyin would also greet us with fresh goat's milk. Of course, I can't end this without mentioning the people who were so warm and kind. I wish I had more time to learn about their lives and stories. Hüseyin with his crew were always hard at work on something, even in the late afternoon... the property is always improving with creative ideas. The lovely Ms. Elif was there to always greet us with her warm smile, ready to answer any questions we had.
