Positive: Beseco is located in a quiet area of Benaulim with an easy walk to shops and restaurants. It's also around a 15 minute walk to both Benaulim (busy) and Sernabatim (quiet) beaches. The owners, Naythen and Chantele are very pleasant. From the photos and reviews we were looking forward to our stay at Beseco. Sadly it did not meet our expectations. Having revised our expectations the apartment is actually quite nice. We were in what I would call the back apartment. It's light and airy. The wifi, fans and a/c worked well and the lighting was good. The kitchen has what appears to be a new kettle, toaster, microwave and induction hob and a full size fridge/freezer. Utensils seemed limited but as we only used the kettle, this didn't affect us. There were no shelves in the cupboards to store groceries only some unappealing drawers. A tea towel would be useful. There is no television which is unusual these days for a property like this. The bed was ok. The clothes storage was limited. Quite a few power sockets but they are not international, so you may need an adapter. The bathroom, although very small, was fine. There is a shared washing machine which we appreciated.

Negative: Our disappointment was the lack of comfortable seating (we are in our later years), metal chairs, a hard-backed daybed, and no seating on the balcony off the bedroom, just a drier. TBH there is no space on the balcony for seating. There is a shared balcony between the 2 apartments, but again the seating is not comfortable - hard metal chairs. I would recommend Beseco for it's location, it just wasn't comfortable for us.

Positive: We enjoyed the warm hospitality rendered to us by Naythen & his family. The house was clean and the food very home style. Naythen was always prompt with our requests and never hesitated in assisting us in anyway possible. There is a power generator in the property so you are never out of power. There is always warm water in the taps. There is a refridgerator, microwave, induction stove, washing machine and an aqua guard on the premises.

Negative: The road leading to the B&B do not have street lights, which can be pitch dark when there is a power outage in the area (the B&B itself is always lit). The beach is about 1.5 kms away - this is not a deal breaker but it's not easy to walk once the sun sets because of the reasons mentioned above.

Positive: The rooms were aesthetically and comfortably done up. The place is not too far from the beach - about a 15 minute walk. The homestay provides quite a few options for breakfast, with some good choices of home cooked Goan dishes as well. Naythen is a great host who checks up on you and also provides some good recommendations should you need them.

Negative: The living room didn't have air-conditioning which was okay but I would have preferred if the windows had wire meshes so we could have opened the windows to let some breeze in. The French windows in the bedroom had the wire mesh and air-conditioning as well.
