3 Bedroom Cottage in Charlevoix

Two doors down from the Mushroom houses!!! Tucked in the center of Charlevoix, a home perfectly located between town and beach. Once you arrive, forget the car! Lake Michigan Beach Park is 1.5 blocks and the heart of downtown Charlevoix is 1.5 blocks! So easy for the whole family to get around, even children and grandparents!
More than a rental, this cozy home blends historic architectural detail with today's modern amenities. White plank ceilings, bead board covered walls and original restored floors add character. A new gas fireplace, standup shower, claw foot tub, wifi, cable, Weber grill, and fully stocked kitchen will make it easy to relax! A pretty view, directly across from beautiful Charlevoix library!
We want your stay to be peaceful and beautiful. You will have a very comfortable and aesthetically pleasing space with everything you need! A mix of local shop finds with artwork and bedding from Anthropologie :) You'll love the feel as soon as you walk in.
Three bedrooms upstairs to sleep seven in beds and a first floor daybed in the sunroom for the eighth person! We offer conveniences like first floor bathroom, washer and dryer, cable TV, high speed internet, Bose radio, fully equipped granite kitchen, new quilts and throws, Tempurpedic mattress for a perfect sleep, portable crib, beach towels, large cooler, huge beach wagon, shampoos, bath salts, and on and on. We think we've thought of it all to make packing light and your stay easy and great!
Parking is on the street right in front of the cottage, no driveway. We have a beautiful little front yard with a patio table and chairs to eat outside. The white wicker rocker is on the covered front porch. We also have a side deck with a Weber grill. There are 2 beautiful parks right directly across the street from us at the library!
We know how hard it is to plan a family vacation with all the time and research involved. If you are lucky enough to have found any of our cottages in downtown Charlevoix you do not need to look any further. We are our hardest critics (and have a big family to test them out!). From having the cleanest cottages and THE BEST cleaning staff on VRBO to having the most comfortable beds with high end bedding, best stocked kitchens and all around experience, there simply is not a better place to stay in Northern Michigan. All of our cottages in Charlevoix are occupied 100% of the time from mid May to October so please do not hesitate to book (early). We had many instances where guests waited a few hours to book and their week was taken in that short amount of time.

Summary: This property was very clean and well appointed. We enjoyed the large living room that was very relaxing, especially with the gas fireplace. We did minimal cooking, but it was nice to have plenty of cookware and dishes. The sheer window coverings made for less privacy and were not dark enough for sleeping with the streetlight shining in and once it was daylight. Otherwise, it is a nice home.

Summary: This was exactly what we expected, even more actually. So comfortable, beautifully furnished, well stocked and thoughtfully staged and supplied. Everything we needed was right there and available. While this was a working trip for us, we feel like we took a bit of vacation as well in this wonderful home. We will definitely stay here again should the opportunity arise!

Summary: As described, great location walk to everything. Host very responsive, nice area, would stay again. No crowds, not everything was open but enough to fill a few days! Close to petosky and Mackinac.

Summary: Location was excellent as expected for the price. The house was in good condition but there are a couple minor downsides for consideration. There is no HVAC upstairs which can make for uncomfortable sleeping. Also right now there’s heavy construction going on next door which causes a lot of noise and many people/trucks coming and going throughout the day.

Summary: Charlevoix is a beautiful town. We fell in love with Lake Michigan and Lake Charlevoix. And, this home was perfect for our stay. The location is wonderful- walk a couple minutes one way to the beach, and a few in the other direction to town. We had plenty of room, but the house still felt cozy. Shawn was a wonderful host- communication was easy. Not sure when we will return to Michigan, but we hope we can stay in one of his properties next time.
