2800 square foot 'True' ski-in/ski-out Luxury ski home - We've rented places that called themselves ski-in/ski-out and find ourselves disappointed when the owners took liberty with the term. This home is a 'TRUE' ski-in/ski-out home. You can ski down 'Bail Out' trail, look to the left and see the back of the home. Turn your skis off the trail, ski down 40 feet and you are at the back door. And when you want to get back on the slopes, put the skis back on and ski out the neighborhood down to the gondola on a trail next to the road. You NEVER have to take a step except to cross the back door threshold going into the home. You don't have to ski the trees, you don't have to sit down or side step and you don't have to be an expert skier. Our home is the closest house on the mountain to a ski trail.
Heated floors, slate floors, wood floors, granite countertops, granite window sills, TV's in bedrooms, dryer with drying center, ski to gondola, ski right to the hot tub and back door, 5 minute walk (or ski) to 5 restaurants, 3 bars, gondola, day lodge, rental shop, lift ticket office, general store, mountain bike trails and horseback riding outfit. Just a short gondola ride to world class Eagles Eye Restaurant. Short chairlift ride to Grizzly Bear refuge. 20 km of groomed Dawn Mountain cross country ski trails are 100 yards from home. 'Bail Out' ski trail is right behind home, no home is closer to the trail than this one. As the highest home in the neighborhood, the home commands the best views of the Columbia and Kicking Horse rivers and the Purcell and Dogtooth mountain ranges.
Kicking Horse Mountain : We love to ski and we love this mountain. The only mountain with better terrain (in our opinion) is Jackson Hole. The only mountain with better snow is Alta. The only place with a better view is Lake Louise. This mountain is the total package. It's huge and always has soft powder somewhere (even in spring). It has bumps, chutes, bowls, trees, glades, cornices, cliffs, terrain parks, back country and even bunny slopes, magic carpets, long meandering blues ('It's a 10' - 10 km long). We take several ski trips a year all over the US and Canada and chose Kicking Horse because it is the total package. Come try it (again) and we think you'll agree.
Golden Golf and Country Club: The Golden Golf Club is just 7 km away from the home on the main road to the house. It offers one of the most enjoyable golfing experiences you will find in Canada. The natural beauty of the Columbia Valley, makes the golf course an instant classic. Architects Bill Newis and Les Furber have done some of their best work in sculpting this fun, but challenging layout. The stunning Rocky, and Purcell mountains are uniquely framed, and each hole tells a great story.

Summary: Had an awesome stay here. This place has everything you need for a killer ski trip—heated floors, a private hot tub, and legit ski-in/ski-out access. Super easy to hit the slopes, and coming back to soak in the hot tub with the mountain views was perfect. The game table was a great bonus, and the whole chalet was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a top-notch spot at Kicking Horse. 5 stars all the way!

Summary: This home was an excellent home base for our ski weekend. The location is a perfect ski in/ski out. The house fit our whole group well, with lots of space for everyone. Everything was in good, working order and they provided lots of space to dry ski gear. The two single beds were quite snug in the one room, but it worked nonetheless, and we were thankful to not have to use the futon as it was quite small for an adult. All in all, it was a great property and the host ensured we had all the information for a smooth stay.

Summary: House is really nice! We used 4 of the 5 bedrooms. Beds comfortable. Living room and kitchen quite enjoyable. Nice view. 1BR/BA at entry level. Stairs to common areas and master BR with en-suite bath. Also another BR and guest bath on that level. Another set of stairs to 2BR and 1 bath. Lots of amenities especially for colder weather and skiing. Would definitely recommend!

Summary: I came here with a group of friends to run the Golden Ultra trail race. This home was ideal for our group, with large comfy beds, private bathrooms, a large kitchen and a comfy living room. The hot tub at the back, surrounded by trees was a welcome retreat at the end of a long running day. This home was very neat and clean and stocked with all the essentials. The location was perfect! We had a great stay!

Summary: The house was well kept and had all amenities required.Myself and the family stayed over the weekend to enjoy the mountains on our way to Kelona and visited the Skybridge park which was great for the kids. The hot tub was great and Gabe was great with checking in and was very accommodating during our stay. Lots of beds for everyone and very comfortable. Mosquitoes were excessive so bring some spray and citronella and you will be fine. We highly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this house and Gabe.
