Welcome to Stone's Throw! We have loved owning this condo since 2015 and stay here when we can. The majority of our guests return year after year. This condo is rarely available and is usually booked by referral and word of mouth by friends and friends of friends.
We take great pride in ensuring our guests have a wonderful stay and have everything they need plus more! Just bring your toothbrush, everything else is provided including all linens and beach towels.
"Stone's Throw" is beautiful, sparkling clean tropically themed Penthouse condo fully equipped with washer and dryer. Condo is on the 8th floor with almost 360 views of the Gulf of Mexico.
This condo is located ON the Gulf of Mexico at Gulf Island Beach & Tennis Club, a gated, private island community condo complex. This is not a Spring Breaker’s party place. People here are friendly and appreciate the beauty of this little piece of paradise where nature and serenity abound. Perfect for Snowbirds, Travel Professionals and Remote Workers. Fast, reliable WiFi. Discount for stays of 1 month or longer. 3 month minimum stay Jan 1- March 31st.
Watch the amazing sunsets right from your private balcony, the community Sunset Park or from our incredible olympic size heated and cooled saltwater pool! Dolphins, Manatees, Ospreys, Eagles are regular residents and visitors. Walk the Nature Trail, lounge on the lagoon private beach, play pickleball and tennis! Excellent fishing from the sea wall and Nature Trail Bridge. 50 acres of lovely grounds to explore for those morning and evening walks.
Free unlimited Clubhouse Access with Fitness Center, Game Room, Library and Club room with many fun social activities and events planned year-round.
More amenities include your own private parking space in the well-lit parking garage located underneath the condo building, and directly across from 2 elevators. Ample outside parking available too.
Several wonderful restaurants right around the corner directly on the Gulf, including an ole fashioned Ice Cream Shoppe! All area services, grocery stores etc., within a 5 minute drive. Many great and affordable golf courses close by too.
Have that second cup of coffee on your balcony as you appreciate the endless views of the Gulf of Mexico- (We have a Keurig and a regular coffee maker) Make new friends you will enjoy coming back to have fun with year after year. Summary: We wanted to find a place to relax for a week that had beautiful water views. Stone’s Throw fit the bill perfectly. It was comfortable and the view from the balcony was spectacular. While the beach at the property was not great, the nature trail around the cove just outside our building was amazing. We saw dolphins every day and several manatees. I never tired of the daily sunsets. The unit was the best stocked of any VRBO we have visited and communication With the owner was extremely easy. We would definitely stay at this location again.

Summary: We visit the area on a yearly basis. Stone's Throw was a nice home-base while visiting family and just plain relaxing. This trip we met some very nice people. Nancy was a wonderful host and we highly recommend this property.

Summary: I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Stone’s Throw. Nancy and Fred proactively communicated with me throughout the whole process, which essentially made the stay effortless. They even had a birthday card waiting for me upon check in. The sunsets from their 8th floor unit were incredible. I really enjoyed the nature trail, it was a unique feature. I used it to workout each morning. The fitness center is nice as well and the game room had a lot more options than I expected - air hockey, ping pong, pool, etc. I enjoyed drinking my coffee on the balcony each morning and watching the baby dolphins feed in the lagoon. The pool was really nice and not crowded at all. Grocery stores and great restaurants are close by, but I enjoyed the property so much I didn’t want to leave. I can’t wait to return.

Summary: The View from Stone’s Throw is amazing and you will see Dolphins and Manatees and the occasional Osprey! The condo is perfect for two people.We stayed for a month and it was fine. The owner Nancy is awesome to work with . It is close to some very nice parks in New Port Richey and lots of good restaurants too. The nature trail on the property makes for a nice walk and the condo grounds are kept immaculate. My only suggestion would be to upgrade the bath and bed linens. Our time at Stone’s Throw was very relaxing and a nice break from the cold in Massachusetts!

Summary: The facilities were very nice, the view was excellent, the room provided us with what we needed (including underground parking place, laundry in our condo, quiet location, king-sized bed, small efficient kitchen and all the amenities needed). The pool is a saltwater, heated one overlooking the lagoon and Gulf of Mexico. Loved it!
