Negative: The shuttle to the airport is a little expensive per person when you plan to go back and forth a couple of times to take the train to Rome.

Positive: A conveniently located and pleasant hotel in Fiumicino. I have stayed there on several occasions and have generally been satisfied. It is a short walking distance to restaurants and cafes in the centre of the town. There is a pool which is open in daytime.
Negative: The hotel is looking a little tired and in need of renovation. The pool hours are quite short, so arriving in the evening I could not use it. The only bar is located at the pool and follows the same hours, though the hotel does have a restaurant in the neighbouring building.
Summary: Reasonably priced and convenient in Fiumicino.

Positive: Close proximity to the airport and the staff (including shuttle bus drivers) were all very friendly.
Negative: I didn't like the smell of cigarettes in my room (unsure if next door were smoking on their balcony or whether it came from the smoking area at the bottom). Also had someone ringing the bell at my room around midnight which made me a little uncomfortable being a solo female traveller.
Summary: Was sufficient for an overnight stay between flights.
