Positive: We really enjoy staying at this hotel having used it a couple of times this year. Easy to find, good location and very dog friendly. The staff have always been very friendly and helpful; on this trip I had forgotten to book car parking (remember to pre-book) and although the hotel car park was full that night, the receptionist volunteered her car parking spot on the road outside as she was finishing her shift shortly, very, very helpful. Really like reading all of the history of the hotel and seeing the old photos in the lift. A lovely, quirky hotel that we will use again and recommend highly.

Positive: The staff were friendly and helpful and able to arrange use of the garage which saved hunting for parking on a very busy road. There's a very nice lounge that serves a good range of Burgundy wines and has a Pleyel grand piano which I played. The room was spacious and the air conditioning worked effectively. It had a nice river view. There are plenty of restaurants and bars a few minutes walk along the river.
Negative: Nothing to do with the hotel itself but it's on a busy noisy road.
Summary: A good hotel in an attractive position in this busy town
