Summary: THe property was clean, very spacious, well stocked and centrally located to major atttractions (Yellowstone, Jackson Wyoming and others). It fit our purposes and gave everyone the opportunity for privacy and lots of common interaction. The owner (Eric Velasquez) was very courteous, and extremely helpful if we had any questions or converns. WE would rent from him again, and certainly recommend this porperty to those who want to visit major attractions without dealing with the congestion of on-site stays.

Summary: We had enough space for our family reunion and the property was good. We just had several leaks that the managers were slow to act on. Luckily we had two kitchens (a great set up!) so when one sink went out, we could use the other one. Then that one started leaking. In the end it was fixed but wish it was something that was dealt with sooner.

Summary: There were 21 of us ranging in age from 2 years to 72 years. Each family had their own place with most of the cousins together. There was plenty for the cousins to do both inside and out with them sometimes making up their own entertainment. The adults enjoyed visiting together since there was space and seating for all of us! There was even room for the whole family to play games all at once. With 8 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms we were all able to enjoy our own spaces without feeling crowded. Two kitchens - well stocked by the way - made it nice for preparing meals as each family took a night. It was a perfect time of year to vacation in Ashton. I would highly recommend Big Family Reunion Lodge - not too close to the main highway but far enough away so you felt secluded.

Summary: I had my doubts about vacationing in Idaho, but it really is a beautiful part of the country. The house felt very cozy and homey and suited our needs very well. Plenty of beds to go around. It is important to note that there’s no A/C, but lots of fans and a few open windows make the interior pretty comfortable even during July/August. There’s so much to see in the area and the house is located close enough to the highway to get you places without you actually hearing any noise from it. Would definitely recommend for any large family gathering for people who are looking to experience a lot of time together and also with nature.

Summary: I can’t say enough good about Eric. He was such an excellent host. The house had been very abused by the people before us and he didn’t make any excuses. He was there fixing them just as we arrived. The house is perfect for large gatherings. Thr two kitchen made meal prep a cinch. We spent a lot of time away doing activities in IP but it was still very convenient to return to every night. Thanks so much Eric!!

Summary: There was plenty of room for our large group and the kitchen had everything we needed. Having two fridges was helpful and there was plenty of seating in the great room when we all wanted to be together. We liked being close to Ashton where we enjoyed July 4th activities and the reservoir.

Summary: We stayed for a week at the cabin. We had a large group of 29. There was enough beds to fit more if we had them. Overall we had a great time and the cabin served its purpose. Communication was great with the owners. We would stay again. Pros -The cabin is large, there were 29 of us and it didn’t feel like we were squished when we were hanging out and we could also get away from each other when necessary. -Multiple kitchens was nice for preparing large meals. -The property is older and “well used” so there are quirks and issues. This was a pro for us as we had lots of kids, we weren’t worried about them breaking anything, like we would be in a pristine cabin. -Activities. Pool table, air hockey (table has issues), games, fire pit, tv. The cabin has an assortment of things to do indoors. -Location, close enough to Yellowstone, fishing spots, and town. There’s a local pool and park a short drive into town as well as a grocery store. -The room/bathroom layouts were nice. More than enough to fit multiple families without issue. Cons -No AC, not the end of the world, but something to be aware of as it does get warm during the day if there isn’t much of a breeze. -The property is not flat. We wanted to play corn hole and badminton, but there was not a large enough flat area to do so. If your plan is do activities outside like us, you’ll need to go off site. -The cabin is work in progress. Seems like there is external construction going on, some doors have issues closing, screens missing, internal door missing on the water heater closet. While these aren’t big deals, if you’re looking for a pristine cabin, this isn’t it. It wasn’t a major issue for us, but it may be for someone else. -Air hockey table bumper walls were coming off, that was frustrating as it is one of the main indoor activities. -Hot water was warm at best.
