What Our Guests say 500 + Reviews

Summary: We spent two nights on board for our anniversary and had a great time. Our first day was beautiful and sunny and we took the kayaks out around the quiet bay the yacht is anchored in. The remainder of our stay was on the rainy side so we didn’t get out on the water much after that but it was the perfect place to relax and there were plenty of games and movies to pass the time. Bruce was a great host, super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. He offered great tips for viewing the bioluminescence at night (which was SO cool), brought extra ice for the cooler, and even helped reunite me with my phone charger I left behind by mistake. We would love to come back and will definitely recommend to friends and family for a unique and scenic getaway.

Summary: We stayed just one night aboard the off-grid yacht. It had everything we would need, and Bruce was excellent. My family and I loved the bioluminescence, the seals and wildlife, and especially the kayaking. We could never get enough starfish! Everything was great and being gently rocked to sleep on the waves was something we all enjoyed.

Summary: Our family of four (2 adults 2 boys under 10) spent three days on the boat. We learned how to kayak in the calm waters around the boat. Bruce taught the boys how to sail on the catamaran which they loved. We took a trip up to seal rock which I wish we had done earlier as I would have planned a longer kayak trip back there to see them. Next time! Overall it was a great time to decompress from everything. Listen to the waves, experience new things and relax. Thanks again Bruce!

Summary: We have never done a vacation like this so really didn't know what to expect and stayed for 4 nights. When staying aboard the yacht, you are basically camping at sea and 2km across the inlet to your vehicle. The idea is to stay on the boat the entire time. The setting is amazing, the water was calm and the beds were very comfortable. There is limited water on the boat - we ran out twice even though we never showered or "wasted" water. Our propane tank ran dry in the middle of cooking the crabs we caught and our toilet holding tank filled up after one day on the boat. All of these were quickly attended to by Bruce, but happened, I believe, because they were not attended to prior to us arriving. Most people only stay one or two nights so I can understand that perhaps everything doesn't need to be done (i.e.: holding tank emptied, water filled, and propane tank replaced) each time someone checks in, however, if the boat is rented for more than one or two nights (we spent 4 nights), I believe the boat should have been fully "stocked". There is a very good cooler and ice is provided to keep food cold but depending on how long you will be on the boat, I highly recommend you bring a block of ice and party ice to use in drinks. We managed to catch quite a few red rock crabs but only when using our own traps. There is one trap provided but that trap produced nothing. Also, the crabs love chicken, so bring some backs and necks and chances are you will feast on crab at some point. There is a keurig coffee machine with enough coffee for one cup each - bring more if you want more. Besides firing up the generator to use the coffee machine, all cooking is done on the BBQ off the back of the boat. The kyacks were simple and easy to get on and off from he back of the boat and life jackets are provided. Even with all the inconveniences we encountered we would/will return and, knowing what we know now, be better prepared. For clothes, you really only need a bathing suit and maybe pants for the cool evenings. We were there in July 2018 and it was so hot that even the evenings were spent living in shorts. If you would like a getaway where you can listen to birds, watch the Eagle soar and say hello to a seal that comes by often, then give this a try.
