Positive: We were not able to stay at Birches due to a power outage in our room, so they found us some last minute accommodation at City Edge, East Melbourne. The location was perfect for an easy walk to Rod Laver Arena and grateful to have beds for the night, even though not what we had booked.

Negative: Unfortunately, our room at City Edge was very basic. The bathroom was rather shabby, beds not very comfortable and no milk or drinking water provided in the fridge. However, these issues may have been due to the last minute check in.

Negative: Unit was very dated and not like the pictures as advertised. Opened the microwave to find the remains of a cooked chicken on a plate. The chicken had been in the microwave for a least the three days of my stay, not sure how long prior to that........

Negative: On booking, I requested a ground floor unit, due to mobility, received unit on 2nd floor. One window was propped up against the blind, it wasn't in its track and wouldn't slide. Windows and tracks were dirty. Bathroom was very dated. Carpets were stained. Lounge was stained. Not enough crockery for two people
