Positive: We are a family of 4 - we were relaxed entering the hotel and there was a feeling of calm, peace and tranquility, the hotel is located on a mountain and everything around is green and pastoral. We stayed in a kind of apartment with a kitchen, living room, balcony and 2 bedrooms. The apartment is clean, very spacious and comfortable, there was plenty of space for all the luggage (4 large suitcases, 3 trolleys and backpacks). The apartment is equipped with everything you need, including a full refrigerator and every morning we received fresh and warm rolls for breakfast. Beyond that, the manager of the place, Reinhard, was very nice and took care of everything we needed during our stay (towels and replenishing things in the refrigerator). We also received a red card from the hotel for the Black Forest that gave us lots of discounts and free entrances to all kinds of attractions during our stay. In conclusion, We were very satisfied, enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the place.
Negative: There is a reception problem in the area and when we arrived I didn't receive the email with instructions on where to leave the key and instructions on how to get into the place. After we walked around and searched, I saw the email and then we got it sorted. Also, when we set off every day there was no signal to make a route on Google Maps so you have to go down towards the town and there is a signal there.

Positive: - Location is great, off the beaten path but still minutes away from forests and lakes (groceries and restaurants are also nearby) - Hotel is very beautifully designed and it's immediately clear that no expense was spared - Great facilities, nice swimming pool and perhaps the best hotel gym I've ever seen - Fantastic employees who did their utmost best to address our concerns
Negative: - Biggest issue I have is that the rooms are sold as "Mountain View" whereas balcony is literally two meters away from... well you can call it a mountain only with lots of imagination. You are basically staring at a foot of the small hill, and there is absolutely no view. In our opinion, this is flat out lie to call it a mountain view - There are two roads to the hotel - one that is under renovation, another one narrow, hilly road of quite bad quality as well. No idea how (un)comfortable they are in winter. Hopefully this is just temporary issue that will get fixed once repairs are over - Similarily to the first point, I was only informed about the roads issue 1 day prior to our arrival (and conveniently after the free cancellation period expired and my card got charged). I would not have cancelled because of it, but together with "mountain view" it does seem intentional

Positive: Beautiful, great facilities like pool and gym, beautiful view.
Negative: The breakfast was very poor. The quality of the sausages and the cheese was good, but beside that and bread, there wasn’t much. A bottle of orange juice and some eggs could leverage the breakfast seriously, consider it :)

Negative: Nothing to do with the BFL but the local Three Lakes Railway branch was not running. Maintenance. Made it slightly inconvenient for arrival and departure by train.

Negative: The method of photographing the credit card for a safety deposit is rather strange. The road to the apartments is full of holes.
