Summary: Welcoming pub in a lovely village In beautiful countryside. The evening meal we had there was definitely worth a big thumbs up, it was way beyond normal pub grub.

Summary: We had an army reunion in Bradnop which is just up the road from Butterton, about 100 of us. Everyone else was camping but I decided I wanted to find accommodation so I chose the Black Lion inn. It was absolutely perfect and I would highly recommend staying here. 10 out of 10 from me.

Summary: What a nice place to stay. The rooms were really nice, comfortable and quiet. The bar was great, served nice food and all the staff great. Would stay again.

Summary: Welcoming staff, awesome selection of teas and coffees as well as homemade cookies in the rooms. Super clean, looks newly refurbished, fab breakfast with a great chef. Will definitely be staying again when we go to Alton Towers! Note using Google Maps: choose a road that approaches from the north, otherwise you’ll find yourself driving through fields and small roads to get there (was actually quite fun, but not recommended with small cars as there is a river you have to drive through at the bottom of the village)

Summary: Amazing food!!! Great pub, very cosy and friendly. Room was very nice, tastefully furnished, good tea/coffee and lovely biscuits. You could hear the the pub downstairs and music but it stopped promptly at 12.

Summary: Lovely weekend away, welcoming hosts, very COVID compliant and felt safe. Lovely comfortable warm room with excellent facilities. Fabulous food both at breakfast and dinner. Excellent location for walking and exploring the local area. I would return and definitely recommend to family and friends. Thank you 😃
