Explore quaint shops, have ice cream at Slickers or enjoy any number of The County's great restaurants. Play tennis or take the kids to the playground located at the top of the street. Enjoy a beer at Matron Fine Beer. Bike, walk or jog the Millennium Trail that’s right outside the door.

Prince Edward County is a very special place. You may find yourself here one weekend, falling in love and moving permanently, a large number of people have. Affectionately known as "The County" the area is comprised of small villages and hamlets scattered amongst farm fields and quaint shops. Located in Lake Ontario you will fall in love with the people, the food, nature, and art. The area hosts 3 provincial parks and over 800km of shoreline.

Visiting Prince Edward County does require your own vehicle. There is no public transit or Uber in The County, although we do have a number of taxi companies and car for hire services.

Summary: Cute house, great kitchen and bathrooms, good water pressure (without smell), good AC, very well located. There were a couple of minor issues we noticed such as a hole on one of the bedroom's floor, covered with a rug. That said, we would rent it again.

Summary: We are two families who have been returning to PEC together for about twenty years, and we found the location of Bloomfield Bliss was perfect for us. It’s a great base for touring wineries, shopping at local markets and villages, and to visit the Sandbanks. The house was spacious enough for eight adults to spread out, and the dining table easily accommodated family meals and game nights. There were a few issues that need attention; a bathroom doorknob that kept falling off, another adjoining BR door that could only latch from outside the bathroom, a main bedroom with no blackout curtains. and a carpet runner on the staircase that came loose and became a tripping hazard. We also dealt with a bizarre electrical situation in the gourmet kitchen which necessitated resetting breakers a few times when cooking breakfast. All said, those inconveniences were just that - overall, we loved it and would stay again!

Summary: Beautiful country home within village of Bloomfield. A bedroom for each of us of quiet time and lots of shared space for togetherness. Big kitchen with everything we needed. Visiting, hot tub chats, and party games. Within walking distance of Flame and Smith and definitely worth the walk or drive.
