Blue Haven Villa is a well appointed, fully self-contained one bedroom villa, with its' own private entrance and parking, and a beautiful addition to our Private House. It is centrally located in a quiet residential South Coast neighborhood, which is ideally situated directly opposite the renowned Accra Beach (Tiki Bar), and the South Coast Board Walk with its' stunning sunsets.
The bedroom is spacious with large built-in closets and mirrored dresser. Air-conditioning and/or ceiling fan is provided as your choice of cooling, with a queen size bed and complimentary furnishings to make it complete. Like wise, the bathroom has its' own tasteful decor.
The kitchen area is fully equipped with all you will need for your self-catering holiday: refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee-maker, toaster, cooking utensils, crockery and even laundry facilities. A counter area with stools is provided for your casual holiday dining, all of which is cooled by a ceiling fan.
The living area is comfortable with a ceiling fan for cooling and satellite television for your entertainment. The patio area is comfortable with a bistro set for additional dining and is cooled by our beautiful trade winds, especially during the winter season, December to May.
This villa is within walking distance of ALL amenities, Public Transport, Supermarkets, Post Office, Banks, Doctor’s Office, Pharmacy, Duty Free Shopping, Restaurants, Bars and Night Life, and is approximately 4 miles from the Capital City of Bridgetown, in a westward direction. Along the way, by foot 👣, bus 🚌, or car 🚗 you will pass the renowned Barbados Fertility Clinic, (opposite Hastings Rocks on the Boardwalk), the Garrison Savannah (horse racing track), the Garrison Tunnels (tunnels used in the World Wars), George Washington House (the US President’s accommodation on his visit to Barbados), as well as fun beach facilities, such as the Boat Yard or popular night life at Harbour Lights. In an eastward direction, you will find the renowned St Lawrence Gap (hub for dining and night life), Oistins (Oistins Fish Fry), Miami Beach, and South Point (Freights Bay surf spot). So, the need for a car would be for the scenic view of the island and its attractions, which is highly recommended!
For your convenience, we have provided a Lock Box for Contactless Arrival and Departure as desired, as well as the ability to safely store the key, rather than having to walk with it and be in fear of losing it, while on your many adventures on the island.
For your peace of mind, Blue Haven Villa has always had as its top priority a clean, comfortable environment for your enjoyment. With this in mind we have always gone above and beyond the standard practices, with the use of appropriate cleaners and disinfectants for each application, including all surfaces, door knobs, light switches and remotes to name a few as well as the sanitizing of all linens, including all towels, blankets, comforters, bedspreads, etc. In order for these thorough cleaning practices to be maintained at the highest standard, we have always provided a minimum of 24 hours between Guests’ Check-In and Check-Out.

Summary: This stay was wonderful and the location and villa were perfect for what we were looking for. Carey and Wendy were excellent hosts. We had everything we needed and were close to the beach, shopping and restaurants. Even though we rented a car it's not necessary because taxis are always available. We would highly recommend this location and villa for all your vacation needs!

Summary: Small house directly next to the where the owners live. The code to get the keys to let ourselves in was never sent as they insisted on greeting us at the door as we arrived. For people who like to stay off the radar and come and go themselves this may be a little off putting. The listing was accurate but we wished we'd read between the lines but went primarily for the location. AC only in the bedroom. Unusually there were no basic provisions there so expect a grocery store trip straight away for things like dish soap, paper towels, and cleaning products. The inside living room is furnished minimally with wicker patio chairs and although that's what the pictures show was less than comfortable. If location is important then despite the run down area this is ideal but I guess we thought it would be more than it turned out to be. Checking out was also different than anywhere else we've ever stayed around the world with the need for a 'walk round' by the owner before we could leave. Quite uncomfortable for a pair of quiet middle aged travellers just wanting to get to the airport. A nice week away for the most part but for some reason just not what we expected .

Summary: Stayed here with my wife. Lovely hosts live right next door and do not bother for anything, but are always willimg to help with any questions. I would definitely stay here again. The location however was the best. 35 minutes to either end of the island if you're explorers like us. This location is a very quick 5 minite walk. Home was immaculate inside. Everytbing you may need to eat or to buy food is nearby.. AWESOME LOCATION.. THANK YOU CAREY AND WENDY FOR AN AWESOME STAY.

Summary: The property is located in a safe, quiet neighborhood which is accessible to EVERYTHING you need. It is well appointed, just bring yourself and a few goods, or stop by the shops that are 4 quick blocks away to grab what you forgot to bring to the the island. I mean, it really does not get any better. Well designed, organized, and meticulously clean. Carey & Wendy's cottage is a home away from home.

Summary: Blue Haven Villa was exceptionally clean and located in a safe, quiet and centrally located neighborhood. Words cannot properly convey how welcoming and hospitable both Wendy and Carey were to me - they felt like instant family, and for that I'm incredibly grateful. I look forward to returning and staying at Blue Haven Villa again in the near future.

Summary: My partner and I stayed at Wendy and Carey’s place for 4 nights and we wish we could’ve stayed longer! Apart from the spotless house, we were greeted by wonderfully nice hosts who were there to answer our questions, suggest local spots to visit and give us a little run down of the place. The location if fabulous, close to everything you might want; grocery, bus stop, bars, boardwalk, fancy restaurants, cool local restaurants and most of all, THE BEACH! Would highly recommend and will be back next time we visit barbados 😊

Summary: My husband and I stayed in Blue Haven villa over the Christmas period. We traveled last minute so were very happy to find a place in such an excellent location. The villa is well located with the beautiful Rockley Beach within 5 minutes walk, lots of restaurants and cafes in walking distance. The closest bus stop is 5 minutes and the supermarket is 13 minutes walk. Saint Lawrence gap is within 30 minutes walk and the beautiful Carlisle Bay is 5 minutes drive. The villa was excellently clean, with nice fully equipped kitchen, living area and a bedroom. The bed was very comfortable and we had a good night sleep every day. The air conditioner worked well, and the ceiling fans provided fresh air throughout the whole place. The villa is in a peaceful and quiet location with lots of palm trees and green surroundings. The hosts, Carey and Wendy were very responsive and extremely welcoming. They accommodated all our needs and were very friendly. We would like to say a big thank you to them and we would highly recommend to anyone to stay in Blue Haven villa if they want a comfortable and peaceful stay in the best location.

Summary: Blue Haven cottage is an excellent choice for a couple. It is positioned in a quiet residential area only two minutes walk from the coast road at Rockley beach, so in easy reach of a number of places to eat and a small supermarket. The cottage is well equipped with Wi-Fi, oven, microwave, washing machine (no dishwasher) and the bed is comfortable. Importantly all the windows have fly screens so no mosquitoes get inside. There is air-con in the bedroom. Car parking off-road in front of the cottage. Local buses and taxis are available at the coast road so hiring a car is not essential. Carey and Wendy are helpful and knowledgeable hosts, and if you contact them before arriving will lay in any supplies you require to settle in. Overall we can highly recommend the cottage as a well thought out holiday let in a good location.
