Positive: We stayed at Blue Lagoon Beach Resort for 3 nights in a double room with a shared bathroom. We were pleasantly surprised to find air-conditioning in the room—it was such a nice touch and really made our stay more comfortable. We slept very well during our time there. The staff were absolutely lovely. I truly love the Fijian people; they’re always smiling, kind, and incredibly welcoming. That warm hospitality was one of the highlights of our stay. The island itself is stunning, and the beach resort is in a beautiful location. However, when it comes to the resort overall, I felt it was just okay. I’ve stayed in many resorts while traveling, often with better amenities and at much cheaper prices.
Negative: Now, the biggest downside of our stay: the mandatory meal plan. Whether you eat breakfast or not, you are charged the full price, which felt excessive. For 3 days, we paid $810 AUD for two people. Honestly, not justified. While the dinners were delicious (thankfully!), I found it disappointing that there were no snacks offered in the afternoon no fruit, no juice, not even a simple treat. If you wanted anything outside the fixed meals even just a coffee, you had to pay extra. Our worst experience came at the end of our stay. We pre-ordered takeaway wraps (which weren’t free, by the way) one chicken and one vegetarian for our journey back to Denarau Marina, which is a 4-hour boat ride. What a letdown! The vegetarian wrap was just lettuce and three slices of tomato. That’s it. No onions, no cucumber, no carrots. I even asked for the sauce on the side, but it came with the sauce inside. My partner’s chicken wrap had just three tiny pieces of chicken and lettuce. After paying so much for the meal plan, ending our trip with such a poor meal was truly disappointing. Also, a small but annoying detail: I don’t like pineapple, and I asked for it to be left out of my lunch salad. Both days, it came with pineapple anyway. It’s the little things like this that make you feel unheard as a guest. In summary, while the island and the staff were lovely, and the air-conditioning in the room was a welcome surprise, I do feel that the value for money just wasn’t there, especially with the meal plan. My advice to the resort: please continue treating guests with care until the very end of their stay. When people spend a significant amount of money, they should feel listened to and looked after throughout.

Positive: We loved every moment in blue lagoon. Also the food was so yummy we didn’t expect it to be that good. Also lovely staff from Tiki, Ana, Tam, Jone, Cara and many more (forgot name of lady do bracelet and amazing signer) they were amazing 🙏🏼 Thank you for having us we definitely will recommend to everyone the resort and will be back one day soon

Positive: The low tide can limit snorkeling activities significantly but the paid snorkeling trip was great! The rest of the activities were cheaper than other resorts. The food was much better! WiFi was great in restaurant/pool area but not in my Lodge.

The food was really good though, better than Octopus resort, but the beach on Octopus is nicer. The small hike up the hill is very nice and the cave trip is a definite must!!
