Beautiful updated house with a view of the Blue Ridge Mountains! House is an easy driving distance from the D.C. area, close to many local vineyards, historic Charlottesville, Montpelier, Monticello. Even with accessibility to local areas, this house offers a quiet rural setting.
On the first floor there is a master suite where you can wake up to a view of the mountains and have access to a private back deck. There is also a large spacious dining room, kitchen, sitting room with books and a TV room with DVDs. The kitchen adjoins to a large family room which has access to the back deck and a wood burning fireplace. Upstairs there are two bedrooms with full/queen beds, as well as a bunkroom with four twin beds for the kids. The house is comfortable, offers a quiet break away from it all, or a nice place to stay while you visit local historic attractions.

Summary: My friends and I enjoyed our stay in Madison. The house is beautiful, the view from the back porch is gorgeous. The host is not the most responsive, but we still enjoyed ourselves.There were a couple of minor issues, the foyer had a weird smell, there were ants in the kitchen and one of bathtubs upstairs was clogging. But we managed with the other bathrooms.

Summary: My family and I loved this place! It’s conveniently located within historic attractions, grocery shopping and yet it’s secluded away from the business of urban/suburban daily traffic in the quiet, peaceful woods. The house is very clean, stocked with plenty of blankets, beautifully decorated and completely free of clutter. My younger children loved the old games and bunk beds. My teenagers loved the view, the indoor space for solitude and the never-ending hot water. My husband and I loved the view from the master suite, although it’s much better from the bedroom upstairs! We lived six years in the Blue Ridge and we were missing it terribly! This vacation rental property satisfied that craving to return back to the mountains and helped us resolve to move back. This place and host met all my hopes and expectations. There is very little that could have made it better, except I wish we could have stayed longer!

Summary: This house was perfect for our extended family getaway and the location was great. There was plenty of room for us to gather together - and lots of small places for more intimate conversations. Would highly recommend!

Summary: My 10-person group was participating in a bike race about 10min away, and we were thrilled with the accommodations and plan to stay there again for the race in 2024. The big, updated kitchen worked great for group dinners, and we enjoyed having a "fancy" dinner in the dining room together. There were also plenty of bathrooms (with lots of hot water) for our large group. We also really enjoyed the beautiful view of the blue ridge mountains in the backyard of the house, and we took advantage of the porch and chairs to watch the sunset over the mountains. I would highly recommend the house for groups!

Summary: We stayed at this property for a sports tournament in the area. The house definitely sleeps 10 people easily. It’s a beautiful colonial home. It was clean and the host provided towels and sheets, which just what we needed. Even without Wi-Fi, we all relaxed and decompressed. I would definitely recommend this property.

Summary: Looking out the back porch onto the farm and the Blue Ridge mountains, really like I was experiencing Virginia at its best. Nice home with plenty of room. Good big grill plus a fire pit. Sitting around the fire pit talking at night was really nice.

Summary: My wife found this stay for our son’s mtb race at Woodberry Forest. Only 10 minutes from the school, this place is amazing. The secluded location has one of the best panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mtns. The house itself is huge and has you wanting to acquire a farm like this!
