Summary: The man at the front desk was very nice and friendly. The property looks clean on the surface, but the room had a strange odor. There was a dead cockroach behind the toilet in our room, my daughter and I were so tired we decided to stay. However, two love cockroaches had us packing and I checked out within an hour of checking in. The man at the counter offered us to stay in another room, and mentioned the property has an insect company and how the roaches are in the process of dying. I do understand, I’m a Floridian, but dying or not, we couldn’t take it. The property grounds look nice and the outdoor patio has cornhole, a large connect four game and a cute table with legos for children. The room was spotless, but the AC look dilapidated, that may explain the odor. I was told I’d get a full refund, I was told it’d be through Experian. I’m still waiting on the refund so hopefully it goes through.

Summary: 10/10! I doubt you'll find a better or cuter motel to stay in. The listing to this place looked too good to be true but I figured we'd try it anyway. It was exactly as pictured. You can tell it was newly renovated very well. It was such a lovely place to stay and the lady who checked us in was very nice. The beds were very comfortable. Everything was very clean. If we find ourselves back in this town we would stay here again. Unfortunately I didn't really take pictures until after the kids started unpacking their bags. I really wish I did.

Summary: We arrived late, but the host was very accommodating and helpful. The room was super cute, big, and clean. Bathroom looked completely redone and was very clean. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Summary: Overall a very nice stay. Room was large, 2 x Queen. Everything was clean. Minor issue: Tub drains extremely slow so you're standing in the water. Minor issue: No window covering in the bathroom, top window has unobstructed view from outside. Would return.

Summary: Room was decent. Walls had patchy paint job, but overall room was well kept. King size bed was comfortable and staff was helpful when we asked for additional pillows and towels! We enjoyed our stay!

Summary: Blue Gem motel was the perfect stay for us for our weekend event at Camp Kulaqua which was only a few minutes down the road. I was a lil hesitant since it was a “motel”. However the room was nicely decorated and spacious. The bed was a super comfy king bed. I travel a lot and was impressed with how comfortable I slept. The AC was nice and cold. The bathroom was on the smaller side but it did it’s job. I loved that the car was right in front of our room which made loading and unloading super easy. They also have Adirondack chairs which was a nice touch. A couple doors down there was an ice machine and a water bottle filler. The room had a mini fridge, small coffee maker and microwave. I was in need of a blower dryer and iron. The front office provided those without any issues. They actually gave me the option of iron or a nice steamer. Super nice front office staff. In the office they had a few complimentary snacks. And cold inexpensive drinks for $. If you’re looking for luxury or newer place to stay- this might not be it. But for us, it was perfect. We’ll be staying here in the future.
