Negative: Bathroom needs a lot of attention. Cracked tiles etc and very dated. Bath tub had lots of chips too and an old style curtain pole that kept falling down.

Positive: Good location, in quiet street. Hotel is modern,a good size-not too big and rooms are really spacious; although fairly basic were nice and clean with very comfortable beds. We found the rooms to be nice and quiet. It was good there was a fridge in the room and a kettle which we appreciated even though we were AI, often prefer to have tea and coffee in the room. This is a good standard 3 star hotel. Staff are lovely and very helpful apart from only two we encountered, but you can get that anywhere. The hotel put on an amazing Hogmany party with great entertainment and fabulous band who we had heard there earlier in the week, which both my partner and I really enjoyed-thank you.
Negative: Reasonable choice in buffet and always something to have, but food was Luke warm at best and needs to be kept hot. The ridiculous €1 deposit for a plastic drinking tumbler to be reused and carry about is annoying. This is supposed to be an eco measure which I appreciate, however these should be replaced and offer of different type of glass, eg wine glass, not everyone wants to drink wine from a beaker.It seems more to ensure guests order one drink at a time and return tumblers to bar to save tables being cleared and tumblers being washed frequently, not sure how hygienic that actually is.
Summary: Overall we had a great stay and would stay again. Good location and staff.

Negative: Food variety limited Room had minor repairs required 1) Bathroom door didn't shut properly 2) Cracked tiles 3) Poorly repaired bath enamel
