Positive: Extremely well appointed and comfortable home. Plenty of space, beautiful gardens and the pool was great.
Negative: There is an onsite manager living essentially in the same house but behind a locked door. She is the only one with access to the washing machine and dryer. We didn’t discover either of these facts until we received the check-in email and were surprised not to have had this information up front. It was not what we’d imagined having the whole place to ourselves would be.
Summary: Very comfortable but a few limitations not disclosed in listing.

Positive: Location was lovely with country views, House was very sunny and warm. The lounge was beautiful and the projector TV was amazing. Loved the breakfast , tea,coffee selection. Kitchen was well stocked with every appliance and herbs and spices.
Negative: Sorry to say we did not sleep well , as there were no electric blankets , very thin sheets and quilt was not enough, No spare blankets in wardrobe , Pillows looked lovely on the bed but were terrible to sleep on. The spa was not hot enough and thankfully there was an amazing hot shower . The host removed the spa cover when we arrived and would have been better for us to remove when we required as spa would have kept its heat.
Summary: This was not the luxury stay I was hoping for , at the price we paid,

Positive: What is there not to Love about this accommodation!! The house is stunning, and has a warm homely feel from the moment you walk in the door! The home was warm on arrival, with heating on. The back yard is an amazing setting for your stay, with a fresh breakfast items waiting for you. With a large projector screen and an indoor pool the home is an amazing place to stay.
Negative: There wasn’t anything not to like about this place.

Positive: My extended family stayed for a week at the Bond Estate over the Christmas 2023 period and we had the most marvellous, wonderful stay imaginable, My daughter got married a few miles away and we used the place a venue to get ready and have photographs taken; it was magical. Everything was perfect, from the fantastic, exotic swimming pool and jacuzzi to the outstanding full-on Bar-B-Que. The kitchen was incredibly well appointed and the coffee machine was a real luxury. The place was so well equipped that we comfortably hosted her new in-laws for a full on good, old fashioned English Christmas Dinner. The GIANT projector screen and selection of movies was an absolute delight, (Love Actually on Christmas day has never looked so good), the Tennis court was brand new and saw many a hotly contested rally. (You CAN be serious !!) Tracy (the facility manager) was always available; discreet yet accommodating in every way and a real plus for the premises. (Shout out for Shaun and Rhys the resident friendly Shoats, (Google it ! )) If you are thinking of staying on the outskirts of Christchurch and you want a little luxury in your life then you need look no further than the Bond Estate... we will CERTAINLY be returning.
Negative: Everything was Perfect, there was nothing to fault.
Summary: The best place we have ever stayed in BAR NONE !!

Positive: Bond Estate was very well laid out and comfortable. The pool house, tennis court and grounds were big hits with our family and we enjoyed the home-like feel of the estate. The art and decorations were far beyond what we usually see in a rental property and made this stay over the top. The hosts were very accommodating and communication was a breeze.
