Summary: Bonnie Island is beautiful and the cottage was as lovely as the photos. We appreciated the well-equipped kitchen--everything one needs! Our bed was comfortable with good quality mattress covers. You will need to bring all of your own bedding & pillows. There were ample floor fans, if needed. (However, we had hot, humid days but did not need to use the fans at all.) The cottage also has a couple of space heaters. The wood burner in the living area kept the cottage toasty on chilly nights. The cottage had plenty of bath & beach towels, cleaning supplies, extra consumable items for the kitchen, full-sized stackable washer & dryer, nice propane grill and even an extra refrigerator outside. We appreciated an ample supply of bottled water for our use. The deck is well-furnished and pleasant for eating and lounging. There is a canopied area on the deck with an additional table and chairs for rainy days. A lovely short path through the trees leads to another platform deck with chairs to catch the afternoon sun and sunsets. Sunrise views are spectacular from the long dock in front of the property. There is a ladder for the swimming area off of the dock. The kayaks were great! It was a half-hour paddle around the island at a leisurely pace. We enjoyed climbing the gentle Canadian Shield boulders along the shoreline. Beautiful photo-ops! This cottage was one of the most well-equipped rentals we've experienced. Sturgeon Bay Marine has a water-taxi service to/from the island. It is a 3 minute trip. (Approx $40-50 per trip) Parking is provided (for the week) at the marina. Deborah was very responsive to any questions we had both before and during our stay. The only drawback of the island stay was lack of wifi, but cell phone service was good. The satellite dish TV had good reception. We did not use the fire pit located in the bedrock area outside the cottage, but there was plenty of wood provided. The cottage is very clean and well-maintained.

Summary: Location was perfect for a two week getaway on Georgian Bay. Island was close to the marina and had good sheltered docking for our boat. Cottage was very clean, comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The two decks that allowed for both sunrise and sunset views were equipped with Muskoka chairs and were great places to relax. We made good use of the two supplied kayaks to explore around the island and for a quick trip to the marina. No contact check in was easy and the owners were very friendly and checked in with us to see if we needed anything or wanted the recycling and garbage taken during our stay. We would definitely recommend this property!

Summary: We had a wonderful visit and enjoyed our stay very much. The location is weather protected and close to a marina. The landlady provides support beyond what we expected, including garbage and recycling removal. When you’re on an island, these are a bigger deal than normal. Thanks

Summary: We loved our stay at cottage! The place was very clean and fully equipped. Modern touches but still rustic cottage feel which we really enjoyed. The cottage felt private and had beautiful views of Georgian bay. It is on an island but we were able to rent a boat at the marina, where we left our car free of charge, and it was a quick trip to the island. We loved the extra touches like DVD collections and board games. Also had two kayaks for use. Definitely would recommend staying here and we look forward to returning. Thanks again for letting us stay at your beautiful cottage!

Summary: We had a fantastic stay at this wonderful gem on Bonnie Island. The owners greeted me, my dad and my brother with smiles and made us feel very welcome. They provided plenty of drinking water even though the tap water from their water filtration system was very clean and clear. The property, house, decks and dock were very clean and well maintained. The cottage is very nice and comfortable. It was so relaxing to sit outside in any of the chairs on any of the decks or dock and enjoy the magnificent views. We enjoyed playing a few games of horse shoes. We liked being able to boat to the Pointe au Baril docks and just walk across the street to the town store. We also boated to Payne’s Dockside Fish and Chips and enjoyed a fantastic pickerel dinner. We are looking forward to staying here again.

Summary: My family rented this cottage for a week in July and loved it we had our own boat and loved the quick proximity to the marina. The launch and parking were free which was an added bonus and the dock at the cottage was great. It was sheltered from wind, big, stable, and secured our boat well. We spent most of our day on the kayaks, swimming off the dock, and relaxing on the Muskoka chairs secured there. The cottage itself was comfortable and very well equipped. The one thing I was impressed with was the quality of small appliances, cookwear, and dishes. It was nice to cook breakfast on a decent frying pan and skillet. The beds were very comfortable and the master had a queen :) which wasn't listed on the site. They had lots of cards, puzzles and games to use, a great fire pit area and an extra small deck off the west side of the property with 2 Muskoka chairs which was fantastic for watching the sun set. Oh, and the sunrise over main dock area was just as gorgeous! Overall we had a fantastic vacation and wouldnt think twice to book there again! Great hosts!
