Sister Cottage to 'Pirate Ryan's Den' VRBO#443814....This Quaint Little Island Cottage is constructed of a combination of Purple Heart Hardwood & Concrete block work. It is painted with cheerful colours inside & outside adding to the island flavour. The wrap around balcony together with the gingerbread trimmings scream..'Welcome to the Caribbean!'
What a Location!! Approximately 200 yards away from the entrance to St. Lawrence Gap....Party Central Area in Barbados, also home to a multitude of Restaurants and Small shops. A five minute walk to Sandy Beach (one of the top beaches on the south).
'Booby Duck* Cottage' is an upstairs apartment, and as such, we would not recommend that folks with knee or hip problems stay here.

Summary: My wife and I were visiting for her birthday/our anniversary. We truly enjoyed our stay here. Trevor is a great host and person. He knew we were traveling for a special occasion and set up a nice selection of drinks for us in the fridge! He was very friendly during check-in and more than willing to recommend things to do around the island. As for the property, it is in a great location. It is extremely close to the GAP where there are good restaurants and taxis if you want to head somewhere else. There are also a few beaches within walking distance as well. The place is small and cozy with an awesome balcony that we would sit on when it rained for a nice relaxing experience. Great place with an even greater host! Thanks for everything Trevor

Summary: We had a great stay at Booby Duck Cottage, & it's ideally placed in terms of location for getting out & about. The Gap is very close by, so walking out is easy, & buses & the number 11 & 3D vans are frequently passing. It's an easy walk to the beaches, bars etc including Worthing beach which is our favourite, & Massey & Trimart for shopping. The cottage is located on the main road, so traffic noise was a little loud at times from early morning and a couple of local bars could be heard very late into the night and early morning. Earplugs are needed if you're a light sleeper, but rum also helps! We saw monkeys in the breadfruit tree at the back of the property, & humming birds too. The cottage is well equipped with everything you need & Trevor is a lovely man & a great host. He is very helpful, accessible & good fun. There's a landline phone and a mobile to use for local calls such as making restaurant reservations, & Trevor is always available to assist with any queries. Thanks Trevor for recommending Lisa's Rotis & doubles (outside of the King's Tavern, Worthing), which were the best we'd ever had, & for a great stay, & our lifts. Really appreciated it. Hopefully see you next time we're back!

Summary: Trevor was a pleasure to deal with right from the initial contact and throughout our stay. His response to our inquiries and the fact that he took the time to send us a list of things going on in Barbados while we were there was greatly appreciated. Description of the apartment was accurate and it is very well equipped. Even a local cell phone was provided for local calls if we needed it. Three sided deck on this top floor unit was a great place to enjoy our morning coffee or an evening cocktail. One of the good things about the apartment could also be one of the few drawbacks. It is central to so many thing that we could walk to including Dover Beach, Carib or Sandy Beach and the many restaurants and shops in the St. Lawrence Gap that a car is not needed. However it is located on the main road, so traffic noise was a little loud at times and a couple of nightclubs in the "Gap" could be heard very late into the night and early morning. Earplugs came in very handy a couple of nights but if you are interested in some late night dancing and partying, then the location is great! The apartment is reasonably priced and as I said before, dealing with Trevor is an absolute pleasure...he is a gem! Thanks for everything Trevor. Brian and Debbie from Canada

Summary: Trevor was a great host. The location was perfect. Close to St Lawrence nightlife and Dover Beach. The apartment was clean and had all the amenities you would need. The rum punch was also excellent! Wanted to book it for next year but already taken. I highly recommend Booby Duck! You won’t be disappointed. Thanks Trevor hope to book with you in the future.

Summary: We can't say enough great things about the Booby Duck Cottage and Trevor (owner)! The clean-picture-perfect cottage is located in a superb location - right in the middle of The Gap. You'll find shops, restaurants, bars, and beaches right outside the front door. Feel more adventurous? For 2 Barbados dollars hop on the cheapest public transportation in the world - the bus stop is also located right outside the front door. You simply can't make it any easier. On top of all that, Trevor is so welcoming! He picked us up from the airport (drop-off too) and gave us a drive around The Gap which helped us find our bearings after arrival. He also shared a local cellphone which we could use to contact him at anytime - although we primarily used it to make reservations to the great restaurants around us. If you have a chance to visit Barbados, you can not go wrong with the adorable Booby Duck Cottage. Thanks for everything Trevor - we hope to see you again soon! Alex & Zoë

Summary: This was the perfect little spot, just removed enough to remain quiet, but close enough that you can walk to the excitement. Our host Trevor was very helpful, checking in on us and available to answer questions at any time! He provided a local cell phone in case we got lost or needed to call him for anything. He even ended up mailing a postcard for me and dropping us to the airport! He even answered my international texts prior to our arrival! Such a good soul. The suite upstairs had all the amenities for us as a couple who wished to explore and take in the tastes and sights around us - able to bring groceries home to cook or take-out food to warm up! The wrap around deck was perfect for the day it rained as we were able to sit outside playing cards and drinking local beer to stay cool. If we ever come back to The Gap in Barbados, we will be sure to stay here again.

Summary: This was my second time visiting the island, and I traveled with my boyfriend (his first time to Barbados). The Booby Duck was absolutely stunning and fit our vacation needs perfectly! The pictures simply don't do it justice. It is so cozy, and has so many fantastic features. The wrap around balcony is to die for, especially with the bar setup from the kitchen window (our favourite spot), the kitchen is well equipped, we did a lot of cooking! Trevor was more than accommodating while we were there, and made us feel right at home; he is a fantastic host and kept in touch during our week long stay. If you have young legs, everything you need is in walking distance (groceries, bars, restaurants, beaches) and if you want to venture a little further or get places quicker, the bus stop is just outside! I cannot say enough good things about Booby Duck, it is truly a gem of the island. The location is perfect, close to everything but still private and quiet when you'd want it to be, super safe, with friendly neighbours all around - we will most certainly be back next chance we get, only this time we will stay longer! Thank you for an amazing vacation Booby Duck, thank you Trevor, and thank you Barbados!

Summary: This was my second time in Barbados. Traveled with my 9 year old son. We stayed in Booby Duck for 10 nights. Trevor was very responsive every time I had an inquiry prior to arrival and on a couple occasions when I called him during our stay. The location was perfect as we planned to travel the island via bus. As you step to the end of the driveway there was always a bus passing by or just a few steps to the bus stops on either side of the road. We felt safe day and night. The apartment had everything we needed. The rental phone came in very handy and so did the landline. Airport pickup and drop off was such a great help. I will definitely be back to the island of Barbados. It’s just an absolutely magical island with very helpful residents. Trevor thanks again for making my 2nd time in Barbados worry free.

Summary: Booby Duck cottage was our first rental vacation we have ever made, and Trevor could not have made it any easier and more enjoyable for us. Very useful information provided with local contacts for taxis etc, and also a phone to use. Beautifully furnished and so close to the st Lawrence gap, it was simply the best holiday we could have asked for. Our host was amazingly helpful especially when we needed to find medicine for a bad cold one of us had got. It's an ideal location to see Barbados without feeling too much like a tourist. Everyone, literally everyone, is friendly and polite, you feel safe and welcome everywhere. The transport links from Booby Duck are great, as long as you're not shy getting onboard on the ZR buses! We miss Barbados a lot already and would happily recommend this to friends and family. In fact I insist you come and come to Booby Duck. We are looking forward to renting again when we next come. Summary: This was my boyfriend & I first vacation together and we couldn't have chosen a better place or a better owner to rent from. Trevor was very patient with me throughout the whole process from the first time I booked the rental to end very end. Trevor met us at the airport, gave us a quick tour through the St. Lawrence Gap area along with a few recommendations, and provided us with a cellphone to make local calls. Unfortunately, were not able to meet his wife as they were on vacation themselves on another part of the island but we were greeted with Maria's Rum Punch....AWESOME!!!! The Booby Duck looks exactly like the pictures posted....cute & quaint. There is a public bus stop a few steps away. The unit was equipped with everything to meet your needs: pots/pans, utensils, tabletop gas grill, clean towels/washcloths, beach towels & beach bag in the wardrobe, basic seasonings, mop/broom/buck, stove, microwave, refrigerator, etc. The wrap around balcony is awesome. I could definitely ass more but I'm running out of characters....LOL! We will definitely return. Thanks again Trevor! ~L'Oreal & Brandon
