5 Bedroom House in Hamlin, Lake Ariel

The Hideout is a private, gated resort community in the Pocono Mountains. It features a four-mile-around lake, a nine-hole golf course, a clubhouse, a fitness and recreation center, an arts and crafts/ceramics facility, a small ski hill, two sandy beaches, two outdoor pools, and indoor and two outdoor tennis courts.
Our home sleeps up to 12 people comfortably, is a lakefront property with a private waterfront. It features a bright, airy living room overlooking the deck and lakefront. Large outdoor space for lawn games for just another way to relax with the family. Included is an outdoor grill, tables, a private dock with waterfront access, two adult kayaks and one child kayak, two paddle boards, a fire pit, and a variety of waterfront toys, floats, and lifejackets.
** It is important to note that the lakes are drawndown starting October 15th for the Fall/Winter seasons**
Within the house are 4 bedrooms, a loft bedroom area with reading space and two day beds. Three full baths, a washer/dryer, full kitchen, dishwasher, microwave, four televisions, and WiFi. Four televisions included. If it gets a little chilly, there is a wood fireplace and two electric fireplaces.
As an added benefit, there is a full game room with two arcade games, a dart board and pingpong table along side a large TV and fireplace.
Large Sauna in the lower level is just another way to relax on your lake vacation.
Nearby are many opportunities for horseback riding, miniature golf, antique shopping, dining, and bars. It's a 30 minute drive to nearby Mount Pocono Hotel and Casino, or to Scranton.
Any of the amenities can be closed as the discretion of the Property Owners Association. The homeowners can not be held responsible and will not offer any discounts or refunds for any closure of any amenity, including lake use or weather related closures.
There will be a registration form required to be filled out at least 3 days prior to your arrival for gate access. All drivers must show a valid drivers license and valid vehicle registration upon check in. Cannot be expired so please check the dates! We cannot offer discounts or refunds if anyone is denied access due to not having these required documents at check in. There are no exceptions to this community requirement.
There is a central trash facility for all owners and guests to use located within a 2 minute drive from the house. Trash is not picked up at the house and cannot be left at the house upon departure.
This is a pet friendly home but will be an additional fee of $50.00 per night added to the reservation, limit of one pet.
Seven night minimum to book this home but reach out as we may accommodate shorter stays!

Summary: What a wonderful lake house! Great location, great access to the lake, great amenities and plenty of room for our family of 8 to spread out when indoors. We really enjoyed our time here and wish we could have stayed longer. Would gladly rent this house again.

Summary: This cabin was in a great location right on the lake in an alcove of a gated community. We were able to kayak and paddle board all over easily. The beach you can kayak to, walk to or it is a short drive less than .5 miles. This location has a pool, food, pickleball and all around great hanging spot for the family. Hanging by the lake watching the bald eagles soar and enjoying the scenery was awesome. The cabin is close to restaurants, grocery, and ice cream stores. We had a wonderful time and would return. Opportunities for the future: the check-in process to this gated community is something we would have liked to have known about at booking, communication through the app was a bit delayed with the property manager and the cell service in the area is spotty. It would be nice to have an entry into the lake off the dock especially as we had a dog and there was no place for the dog to go in (they are not allowed at other points on the lake). We recommend fixing the bulkhead in front of dock for safety. And would have been nice to know before hand that we had to take our garbage somewhere... it was easy to do but not great. Overall, this location was great, the house was clean and plenty of room for teenagers to have space. Even with the opportunities, we would return.
