3 Bedroom Cabin in Northwoods Beach, Hayward

Surrounded by trees, this cozy little cabin is situated in the Northwoods Beach area between both Grindstone and Lac Courte Oreilles Lakes - take your pick or use both! Located just a mile from the public beach/park (a very easy and enjoyable walk) or about 1 mile away from either public boat launch, you'll be able to enjoy your days on the water and evenings in this cozy little cabin.
This is a great little location about 10 minutes outside of Hayward but within very close proximity to many dining establishments as well as the cutest country store where you can find anything you may find yourself needing quickly. If taking a turn at the blackjack tables is your thing, there is a fantastic casino close by as well!
We take pride in allowing you to have an enjoyable experience using the cabin as you enjoy all the wonders of downtown Hayward and the surrounding areas, the lakes for kayaking, boating, swimming, and fishing, the ATV and snowmobile trails are easily accessible, or stay in and relax for a day/night with a fire and good some games! Do not forget about the great hiking, mountain biking, and ski trails - Birkie Trail, CAMBA trails - all close by!
This cabin has a fun and unique vibe with the main bedroom having its own private deck! There is an open loft area with another bed and smart tv. The lower level has a reading nook with a chaise lounge as well as a fold-down sofa couch. Another smart TV is available for you to log in and watch any of your favorite streaming services. You can sleep 6 comfortably. Nice big patio with a fire pit. We do have a full kitchen with a fridge, microwave, dishwasher, Keurig coffee maker, and all the essentials needed for cooking. There is a grill on the patio for your use. There is also a washer and dryer.
We love and have 2 of our own small dogs and know how important it is to bring your pooch along on your adventure. We are pet-friendly but please let us know if you plan to bring yours, as we do charge a cleaning fee ($30 per dog or cat for the total stay). We may have to send you a separate request for this payment. We ask that you clean up after your dog (inside the cabin & outside), and do not leave your dog unattended in the cabin unless kenneled.

Summary: Location was perfect for the race and the price was right. Listing said room for 6, which was technically accurate but it was difficult to see that the beds were not very private. Only one bed has privacy. Other than that I found the place a fantastic deal and the host was wonderful at communicating. Had a nice patio and fire pit to relax

Summary: Clean property. I had to request check-in instructions rather than having them automatically sent to us, but other than that... Everything went pretty smoothly. It's a beautiful area and my husband and our puppies really enjoyed it. Lots of hiking and fun things to do.

Summary: Cute cottage. Very clean. Plenty of space for the two of us. Loved the wood floors and the cute decor. The stairs were a little difficult to navigate, but having handrails on both sides was very helpful. Getting in the shower was also a little challenging. It sits up higher and there is a step provided to get in. A couple hand bars would be very helpful. Overall this cottage has everything needed for a nice vacation.

Summary: Very cute home in a great location right in between two clean lakes! There were a lot of back roads that were newly paved and were great for biking. Tanya was very communicative and the property was easy to access. It was right off of a main road which was a little noisy for our liking. Overall we had a great stay.

Summary: Family of five made Gnome Home our base camp for three days of boating with friends. The location was super convenient to launch the boat on LCO and meet up with lake friends. The Cabin is cute and big enough to accommodate our family of five. We enjoyed the AC in the upper bedroom that spills down to cool the main level. Everyone was comfortable and we had some hot summer temps. Kitchen was stocked with the things we needed. The fire pit was great to gather around at night and make s’mores. Check in was super easy and communication from start to finish with the Bakkens was timely and efficient. We hope to return again in the future for an even longer stay. Highly recommend!
