Summary: From the information provided, to the warmth and hospitality evident in the generous brekkie provided for us - our stay at this grand old lady was perfect in every way. The house was warm, dry, and well stocked with top quality utensils, bedding and toiletries. We felt a bit like Goldilocks who walked into a table set perfectly! Summary: Situated on one of Whanganui's main streets, a few blocks from the Dublin Street Bridge and Somme Parade, this lovely old villa has been modernised inside without losing its original charm. The kitchen is fabulously equipped with everything we needed for self-catering; the bathrooms (main and ensuite) and laundry lush and spotlessly clean, the bedrooms have every luxury and the lounge is furnished with period armchairs and sofa. Throughout the house and in the kitchen there's an eclectic mix of artwork, chinaware and furnishings, from retro to repro via art deco and modernist: something for every taste, but it works! We'll definitely stay here again, when the cherry trees are in blossom, to enjoy the verandahs and small but perfect garden. Close enough to main attractions, but not in the city centre, a perfect location to make day trips from. Highly recommended.

Summary: We enjoyed the cottage and appreciated the high quality of the appliances, kitchenware and bathrooms. The breakfast supplies were very adequate. Our only negative was the traffic noise in the front rooms.

Summary: Gorgeous place and had everything we needed. Spotlessly clean, super comfy beds, all the basics in the kitchen and the provided breakfast was great. When it got a bit chilly the central heat warmed the place up in no time. Very close to the town centre, we would love to stay here again some time!
