Positive: We loved our stay at Bowie's Lodge. Tony, the owner, and Bowie, his wonderful Siberian husky, were very welcoming and friendly hosts. We had a comfortable bed, the shower was nice and hot and the view from our room was fabulous. It's was a nice surprise to be offered a continental breakfast, which even included soya milk and vegan spread if required. Will definitely return next time we're in Blackool.

Positive: The location was good and it was about 15/20 minutes walk to the Blackpool Tower and there was ample parking in the area.
Negative: We booked a small double room and yes that's what we got it was very small with not much room to walk around. Noise from the main road with trams passing and cars passing bye. We left our clothes in our hand luggage cases as there was no wardrobe just a small rail and two small shelves to lay clothes out which was facing the bay window. All in all we found the room very cramped and not suitable for our needs or the price we paid and because of this we only stayed 2 nights instead of the 3 nights we had paid for. Its been a few years since we have been to Blackpool and after seeing it now it is so run down with hotels boarded up shops closed up and as for litter the place is a disgrace mountains of it just laying all over the place along the sea front and along the seafront there are more hotels B&Bs and shops closed than ones open. Blackpool is a complete mess.
Summary: Blackpool should be knocked down and rebuilt it's an absolute disgrace.
