New guest quarters on the ocean provides the best VACATION location available. Be one of the first to stay in this beautifully renovated and nautically decorated 2 story. Lots of room for two (or three) and breathtaking views. Steps from the ocean and three sites from Friendship Maine Town Landing. The town landing offers a paved boat launch that many of our guests use to launch their boats. The launch is also a favorite spot to swim with easy access to the ocean. Guests often bring their own boats, kayaks, bikes, or hiking equipment to explore Muscongus Bay area. We do make exceptions for an additional guest above the usual two (children love this area) with an increase of rates. Sea life is all around you: fish, birds, and porpoises. Please let us know how we can best prepare for your arrival, so your visit meets all of your expectation. The new guest house is awesome for enjoying ocean activities or just relaxing on the outside deck while watching the constantly changing sunsets over the water. Summary: We were looking for kayak-friendly owners and property, and scored on both! Sweet spot in a protected cove, access to other coves, islands and river nearby, and open ocean 3 miles south. Easy launching from their dock and a dedicated float that allows easy in and out. Shannon and Gil are great hosts; they arranged lobster from son’s catch one day and cooked it for us! Great house with a porch, well-appointed kitchen cozy bedroom and a loft with a view. Plus several preserves for hiking and local food nearby. We’ll be back!

Summary: Gil and Sharon were great. They were very accommodating and accessible. Gil,a fifth generation lobsterman can fill you in on all that. He also builds lobster boats. Friendship is convenient to places in midcoast Maine such as Rockland, Rockport and Camden.

Summary: Sharon and Gil are incredible hosts, in line with the beautiful home that they have shared. The views from the guest house are sensational. We couldn’t think of a better way to relax and unwind on a week long vacation. This place is perfect.

Summary: Sharon and Gil are "finest kind," the type of hospitable folks you would expect to find in the great state of Maine. They built this unit themselves so there is a lot of love, care and quality that went into it. All the amenities you could want. You have a beautiful view of the water and sea-going birds, in a very quiet location, far from any tourist traffic but still well situated for heading out to some of the prime attractions along the Maine coast. There are several nature preserves close by for bird-watching, hiking or jogging. A great value...you'll be happy and comfortable here.

Summary: What an amazing time we had in Maine! The location of their beautiful place was perfect, cozy and oh so peaceful and quiet! The house had everything we needed and Gil & Sharon were quick to respond with any questions/needs we had! They are amazing! The views from the deck are beautiful! The bed was comfortable and there wasn't a thing we wished we'd had while we were there! Thank you for sharing your little piece of paradise with us! We loved every minute of our trip and it will go down as one of the best vacations we've ever taken!

Summary: Gil & Sharon Simmons are awesome hosts. They are good communicators and have been highly accommodating. Gave us a bunch of privacy. Gil and the generations after him are lobster fisherpeople. I strongly recommend guests use Jameson Point Lobster, very good price and they will steam them for you to take home or whatever. Great place! Very peaceful location. Great to see the tide action. Pretty boats in a little harbor! Just right for 2 adults - great TV - the wifi internet was pretty weak and sporadic. Generally good cell coverage in the area. Hate to say it as I love this hidden gem - want it just for me. Absolutely fantastic.
