A unique apartment on the upper floor, full of architectural features offering the best views in Engelberg. A spacious private balcony at the front together with a private side balcony (accessed directly from the living area and the bedroom), allows you to catch the sun and the panorama from sunrise to sunset.… you will feel like you’re floating above the town and can touch the mountains.
Open plan living area with 40" HD LED TV, DVD, Hi-Fi, kitchen area and family bathroom. Master bedroom with double bed, radio with iPod/iPhone docking station. Summary: This property was amazing in every way. Beautiful views that cannot be beat. The owner was so sweet and helpful to us along our journey with directions and support for our various excursions. Engleberg is a great location for mountain adventures- we went mountain biking in the mountains! Engleberg is also a quick train ride to Lucerne, the most romantic city in Switzerland. Stay here- you won’t regret it! You do have to be capable of climbing stairs to get to the top and the drive up to the home is tricky for those of us used to wide roads in the US. Make sure you think of that before booking this apartment.

Summary: Absolutely brilliant stay in a stunning apartment with the most incredible views across the valley. We stayed as a family of four and the apartment had everything we needed, it was clean, well equipped, had the most comfortable beds of our whole holiday and Ursula was great to communicate with. Things we loved about the apartment: The view from the balcony The view from the afternoon balcony The walk from just outside all the way up to the top of the mountain with more amazing views. Really comfortable beds The well equipped kitchen The warmth of the apartment actual warmth and ambience. The shortcut into town which actually makes the walk not too far. We had one of the best holidays ever just walking every day popping into the co-op in town and get buying our food and wine for each evening . Absolute perfection we loved every minute here.

Summary: This was so amazing that I have trouble putting into words how absolutely perfect and fantastic our stay was. We miss it! Ursula has paid attention to every detail in this beautiful place. We were easily able to make our meals in the kitchen since it had everything needed. The manual she created with instructions will leave you with no questions. This place was beyond our expectation and hope to visit again and again. Truly magnificent not to mention the views!!!

Summary: The apartment was lovely and exactly as described in the listing and previous reviews. The only point I'd add is that the side balcony sees the sun until 8pm in July which is great for relaxing after a long walk.

Summary: My spouse and I were on a European trip to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and we stayed in Engelberg for three nights of our two week trip during May 2022. Alphaven was the perfect escape. We booked the top floor apartment and couldn't be any happier with the accommodations at Alphaven. The place was immaculately clean, well stocked, and offered some of the most amazing views you could dream of. We spent most of our time on the deck enjoying the cool breezes and views of the snow capped mountains. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well supplied, the covered parking was convenient, having a washer and dryer available was wonderful, and the availability of English channels was nice when we settled into a glass of wine at the end of the evening after a day of hiking and exploring. The cows next door came to visit a couple of times each day and we enjoyed seeing them. It really added to the overall "Alps experience". The information provided in the guest book was thorough and very useful. The town of Engelberg offers many nice restaurants and two well stocked grocery stores. We enjoyed the cheese shop at the monastery very much and highly recommend a visit. Alphaven was truly heaven on earth and we can't wait to visit again!
