An old house recently restored overlooks a splendid panorama. A clear blue sea is the protagonist of the scene: in the foreground the Saracen Tower and the picturesque harbor; in the background Ischia, Capri, the Pontine islands and the Circeo promontory.
Equipped with large arched windows that make the rooms bright, the house consists of a living room open onto a habitable terrace overlooking the sea, a small kitchenette, three bedrooms and three comfortable bathrooms. Thanks to the considerable thickness of the old wall structures, the internal rooms, all with ancient vaults, remain pleasantly cool even in summer.

Summary: We had a lovely stay at the apartment for a few nights at the beginning of September. It's positioned in perhaps one of the best locations at the end of the headland facing the sea. With a lived in feel which kind of adds to it's charm it's a great place to relax and explore the town and local beaches. The living room, kitchen and master bedroom area are very bright and airy, with two sets of doors opening out onto the balcony with a fantastic view across the Mediterranean Sea and down to the harbour below. In fact most of our time whilst at the apartment was spent sitting here people watching and enjoying the beautiful view. It really is a fantastic place to enjoy your morning coffee or evening meal cooked with fresh ingredients from the local store a couple of minutes walk away. The kitchen is quite small but had everything we needed. It also has another double door opening out to the side of the apartment which means you get a nice cooling breeze when it's hot. We made all our evening meals here during our stay, although there seems to be a good selection of restaurants if you prefer to eat out, plus there's some nice bars to enjoy an Aperol Spritz in the town square. Since it was just the two of us, we only used the main part of the flat, so it was very spacious for us, but there's a separate area accessible with another lockable door with a further two bedrooms and a bathroom should you need it. Being situated up on the hill means there's quite a lot of walking up and down the steps to the beach and back, but it's definitely worth the effort, as you experience the atmosphere of staying in the old town. There are quite a few other holiday rentals in the town but it really doesn't feel too touristy yet there's a small number of little shops to wonder around after your dinner in case you want to buy a souvenir. This is a great place to stay and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in self catered accommodation in the heart of Sperlonga. Loved it!
