Within a restored and re-envisioned 1940s brick manor, each guest room is exceptional, offering ensuite bathrooms, premium linens, WiFi, Apple TV and amazing vistas. Found, repurposed and vintage pieces appoint the interior with touches of original artwork and modern conveniences.The oversized living room has abundant seating, a brick fireplace and a baby grand piano. The fully-equipped gourmet kitchen is ideal for creating delicious memories. It overlooks the back patio with Wisteria-covered arbor, outdoor lounge and Weber gas grill.

Summary: This house was a perfect place for a long weekend getaway. Very clean and every room had all the amenities you would need. Close to other towns and great views from all parts of the house. We liked it so much we want to go back and enjoy the outdoors in the summer.

Summary: The house/property was perfect! Our family of ten had a great time. The rooms were great to accommodate all of us. The living room with fireplace and piano allowed us to relax and enjoy each other - playing games, watching movies, etc ...the dining room table was perfect and comfortable for all - sitting ten of us easily! The kitchen was large and had everything you needed to cook/bake/serve The hosts went above and beyond - even had a decorated tree for our arrival!! Would definitely recommend.

Summary: Roomy, gracious and tastefully decorated, yet not stuffy, this spacious house embraces its residents in a home-like atmosphere. All-ensuite's a rarity. Excellent beds in every room. Fully-equipped modern kitchen with good layout. Large dining room. Hidden 1-person elevator great for elders. Expansive lawns for kids to run. Equipped with everything you could need, including a garden patio and grill. Interior spotlessly clean. LOCATION even better than we'd thought: we did the Hudson River Art Trail: only 14 minutes to Thomas Cole site in Catskill, with Olana 3 minutes further, 22 minutes to Rail Trail to Kaaterskill Falls, 15 minutes to Opus 40, 20 min to Woodstock or Hudson, etc. Mountain views lovely. Town of Saugerties (5 min.) charming. MANAGEMENT: Ryan and Mark were remarkably responsive and helpful before arrival and during our stay. Even helped us move a recliner in/out. Every one in our group of adults wanted to make this our permanent reunion site. We hope to be back next year! Perfect house for a small wedding. P.S. House next door, under same management, also available if you have a group larger than 10/12.

Summary: This house is amazing--it's even better than the amazing pictures! We stayed here with a large group, and the space was comfortable, clean, and well designed. I can only imagine the outdoors when the weather is nice. Saugerties offers some good food, drinks, downtown area, a lighthouse, and some nearby hiking. We would definitely stay again!

Summary: Owners could not be more responsive. House was large with nice hanging out space and tons of bathrooms and bedrooms. Beds very comfortable and a fully stocked kitchen. Backyard and front lawn was perfect for running around with the kids. Everyone loved it - thank you!

Summary: The perfect place to go with friends or family for a relaxing weekend. Beautiful kitchen / dining area, wonderful fire place, very cozy! Convenient that most bedrooms have their own bathroom--ideal for privacy and comfort. A close drive to both Woodstock and Hudson. We had such a great time!

Summary: I can't say enough great things about Hawk Knoll and its location. I first rented it for two weeks in late October, 2010 and couldn't have been happier with the level of service provided by the owner Mark or with the state of the house, which was very clean and well-appointed. I recently rented it for just a short, two-day stay and was very impressed with the improvements to the landscaping and to the interior which have taken place over the last three years. The house itself is grand but has a very comfortable and welcoming feeling and the views of the mountains from the porch and front bedrooms are nothing less than inspiring. It truly is one of my favourite places on the planet. There's a sense of relaxation the minute you walk in the door and the noise of city life evaporates. The kitchen has been modernized but the rest of the house retains its original charm, and while some of the tile and fixtures in the bathrooms are dated they're clean and functioning. And I also love the fact that every bedroom has an en suite bathroom. I've only stayed at Hawk Knoll in the fall when the foliage on the surrounding mountains has been spectacular, but I will be planning a winter getaway this year as I'm dying to see it blanketed in snow. And I'm dying to cozy up to that beautiful fireplace! I'd recommend this house for a group of friends and family but its also great sharing it with just one other person. Really a true gem.

Summary: My wife and I shared this house with 4 other couples during a long weekend and very happy occasion (my son was getting married). Each couple had a beautifully appointed bedroom with it's own private bath. Although we selected the bedrooms on a first come first served basis, we could just as easily have chosen straws - each was unique, spacious, comfortable and lovely in its own way. Although we barely cooked, if we had the time or energy, the kitchen would have served us well. It is large and fully stocked. All ten of us were able to gather easily and comfortably in the living room, on the front porch or on the lawn. The photos only offer some indication as to the quality of the house - it is well decorated, secluded and ideal for a group getaway. If there was a grade higher than "excellent" that's how I'd rate it. We all thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The wedding was a great reason for renting the house but the house was a huge plus for our weekend.

Summary: We searched the internet high and low to find a place for our extended family of 17 to spend and celebrate our parent's 80th birthdays and 60th Wedding Anniversay. We couldn't have found a better place than Arch Hill! The house was beautiful! It had enough bedrooms, bathrooms, and sitting areas to accomodate all of us very comfortably. The big kitchen allowed for several hands to help with the cooking. We spent many a day and night playing games and talking in the big screened in porch. The well manicured front and back lawns was a perfect setup for volleyball, croquet, badminton, and chilling in the adirondack chairs, and hammock watching the children, and dogs play. A huge highlight was the pool and deck to escape the summer heat. To sum it up, our parent's celebration and family vacation was a BIG HIT! Mark was very accomdating and a pleasure to deal with. We were glad we got to meet him. We hope to visit again in the future.
