Negative: other peoples toiletries left in bathroom, towel and facecloth left in bath. Room was very cold with no form of heating and no electric blanket on the bed and no supplementary blankets in the room
Summary: appreciated use of kitchen and dining area but room needs to be capable of being heated.

Positive: Steffi and Damian are the warmest, friendliest and most generous people! We were welcomed and immediately treated like family during our stay. They were so thoughtful in providing everything we needed, and also made sure that they showed us where everything is. I am so lucky to have spent my last 2 nights in Auckland with such nice and generous people. The room itself is super comfortable and clean, and the house was also really clean and comfortable to be around. It is a shared living area, but Steffi and her family made it a very comfortable environment! For light sleepers, do note that you may be able to hear the occasional rumble of train tracks as the home is located near the train tracks. That didn't bother me at all and I had the best sleep! Thanks so much for the wonderful stay Steffi and Damian! Hope to see you again next time.

Positive: The family were really friendly and made us feel very welcome, letting us have our own space in the kitchen when they could and so on. The room was spacious and clean with very plush carpets and the bathroom was lovely although was missing a hand towel.
Negative: The location is out of the way of central Auckland, about 40 minutes on the train but the train station is walkable and the neighbourhood feels safe and peaceful. There is an extra $10 per day cash fee for using any appliances other than the kettle and microwave which is mentioned in the description but the price is not listed.

Positive: Steffi, Damian and their beautiful family were so lovely. The room was comfortable with our own lock and with the bathroom being quite large and roomy. Having a key was a really helpful addition to us being able to explore the town coming back late. We also very much appreciated the check in regarding if we were okay with pets before being able to meet them. The water on the bedside was a sweet addition.
Negative: As two female travelers we didn't realise that there was another room available to stay in to other travelers. We were comfortable with this however it may be good to outline more in the listing.

Negative: *Right next to a train, so very noisy *No parking. Had to park on other side of street and had dogs almost attack us. * in listing it said we could use dining room and microwave etc, but host sent a message saying it’s an extra charge using the kitchen payable directly to her. *Host family was up till close to midnight talking and we couldn’t sleep. Had to get up 3am for a flight so was very tired. *The front door was a nightmare to try figure out how to open as they didn’t show us how to open it once locked.
