Summary: The place was absolutely wonderful and well organized. It has great location and convenient to access all parts of the city and the host was very responsive to all of my queries throughout my stay. I will definitely recommend my friends to stay here for their Calgary visit. Thanks so much to the host for making my trip so comfortable.

Summary: I arrived very late at night and went straight to bed. When I woke in the morning, I saw that the sheets HAD NOT BEEN WASHED. There was WHAT LOOKED LIKE YOGURT smeared on the bottom sheet I just used. 🤢 Ugh! They sent new sheets, but they hadn’t arrived by the time I was thinking of going to bed, that I felt I may as well wash the previous night’s yogurt sheets, which I did. Also, it had NOT BEEN VACUUMED, there were food crumbs and more smears on the sofa, the blades on the two fans ( which have to be on 24/7 because it’s so hot in there ) WERE FUZZY WITH DUST, the oven was very dirty with DRIED FOOD AND GREASE, the garburator wouldn’t drain ( sink half FULL OF GUNK AND WATER when the dishwasher was put on - they did send out a plumber on day 3 ), there was HAIR IN THE BATHROOM DRAWER, the balcony was unusable due it’s furniture and railings being THICKLY COVERED IN DIRT AND DUST, the glass balcony door was also in need of a serious clean ( which I ended up doing ). The carpets are in need of a serious STAIN REMOVAL shampoo. The main kitchen light was burned out, but I got on a stool and tightened the bulb which worked. There were 3 other burned out lights. I ran out of dishwasher tablets, RAN OUT OF TOILET PAPER ( left 1.5 rolls for 7 days ) and there were no extra garbage bags for under the sink. I used a grocery bag I had. I communicated many times with the host, who seemed pleasant and sometimes got back to me in good time, and felt she went over and above ( her words ) by sending an iron and board ( which I didn’t ask her to do ) when I simply asked if it was somewhere I couldn’t see it. When I asked about some sort of compensation for all the housecleaning, window washing, vacuuming, bed linen washing, dishwasher tabs and toilet paper supply I provided, they said they’d look into it. An hour after I checked out, they said no. Nicely played Sarah. Yes, I even left it spotless and washed the sheets for them again, left a nice note for the next cleaners ( if they even get cleaners? ) and I would have even if I knew they weren’t compensating me before I checked out.
