A tastefully appointed large Bed and Breakfast set in the gorgeous Channel Country and only 20 minutes from Hobart. We offer accommodation for up to 5 adults and 1 infant in your private wing of the house.
Enjoy the sunroom next to the Mediterranean style courtyard or relax in the spacious gardens enjoying the magnificent views of Mt Wellington and the Northwest Bay. Or explore the flower and vege gardens while considering your next visit to one of many nearby attractions.
We have recently completely redecorated this wing of the house to cater for large or small families or just one travelling person who prefers the personal service and warmth of a home from home rather than a hotel.
We welcome all nationalities being bi-cultural ourselves and we have lived in many different countries, so we love meeting new people from all walks of life. We offer free continental breakfast and can help with advice on local attractions. Nearby attractions include the famous Bruny Island Cruise, Margate Train, great beaches and fishing, places of interest like the shot tower and boutique vineyards.
We will give you as much privacy or personal contact as suits you, we want your experience of staying with us to be memorable and easily affordable.

Summary: Our family had a great stay at Brightwater. Richard made contact with us when we made the booking and was happy to answer any questions and offer information on the area. Arrival and check in was a simple process and the accommodation was very clean and tidy. We all enjoyed the beautiful views, quiet surrounds and the trip from Hobart is an easy one. Breakfast meals were delicious and catered well. 2 bedrooms with comfortable beds and plenty of room. Our kids enjoyed the space and the swings overlooking the Bay and beautiful garden. Great stay.

Summary: We came here for a little break with our 3 year old daughter, they made us feel very comfortable and welcome, the breakfast on a morning was delicious and they made some cereal for my daughter as she hardly eats much because of her age, I would suggest Nasi goreng that was beautiful! They leave you to enjoy your stay there but if you need any information please don’t hesitate to ask them as they are present people and like to help, I would give this place a rating with full marks, thank you to you both for giving us a nice break away we will be back again
