Positive: I love the beach, the sand, just few steps from the hotel
Negative: Chaise lounge at the beach are horribly uncomfortable. The overpriced beach bar served disappointed food. The coffee machine in the room is so bad not function properly. Upon check- in the bed linens were stained and visibly used. Cockroaches in the room. The hotel sits in the heart of the downtown, but unfortunately there is NOT much to do in the immediate area,the options are limited to the handful of souvenirs shops, at 5:00 pm everything is closed, the city is died.
Summary: The rate I paid exceeds the quality of service.

Positive: Great location, staff very friendly and helpful. Very close to US Embassy for our friend who needed to get a temporary passport.

Positive: The bed was comfortable and the room was large. They provide good toiletries and clean towels. A nice restaurant with live music - but very loud.
Negative: It is difficult to get a decent coffee. Room was not properly cleaned with sticky spots left on the bedside table. Staff are nonchalant and slow to respond. Payment always seems to be a big ordeal. The food quality is only ok, with very limited options for healthy eating and while the beach and sun chairs may be nice, you are disrupted all day with cruise ship noise and an ugly view of up to five monstrosities at a time. Despite requesting a quiet room and booking.com stating I had earned a “room upgrade”, I was placed in a room near the elevator and was disturbed constantly throughout the night. The extra charges amounted to an extra $100 on top of the room rate- not sure what that charge is for- the experience is poor.
