Summary: A very pretty house full of character and very nicely decorated. Large bedrooms and bathrooms. Beautiful location with a short walk to the river bank which was lovely. We enjoyed our stay.

Summary: We really enjoyed our 3-night stay at La Casa de El Mazo. The historic home is perfectly situated between the mountains and the sea and a short walk down to the river Deva, where we enjoyed a refreshing swim. We spent one day enjoying the sun and waves at the beach outside San Vicente, and the next hiking the Senderismo a Tresviso, a tough 3-hour climb up to the town of Tresviso that starts about a 20 minute drive from the house. While at the house, we spent most of our time on the patio, grilling on the bbq and enjoying the view of the fields and mountains, and chatting with the locals as they passed by. They only cons are the proximity to a busy road and it's noise, the beds are not the most comfortable, but fine a few nights, and there's no wifi, which didn't pose a problem for us because we kept ourselves quite busy and there was plenty of information about the area provided at the house. The cons were more than made up for by the excellent location, beautiful views, and authentic Asturian feel of the house. Also accommodated our dog perfectly.
