Summary: The building needs some maintenance, exterior paint is needed, parts of the building are under repair. Also the breakfast was OK but you had to ask for some things rather than being displayed for consumption. It is a nice building but it needs to be upgraded to justify the price.

Summary: Ours was an overnight stay on our way to Prince Edward Island. We were attracted to the Victorian style of the B & B and the interior had been restored beautifully, particularly in the public spaces on the first floor. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was a restaurant within walking distance, and we went there for dinner after a long day of driving. Breakfast, in the morning, was tasty and we were on our way the next day.

Summary: Clean, comfortable room. “River view” was a stretch. Breakfast was pretty bland and took quite a long time despite needing to put your order and timing in the night before. Not the experience I’d expect from a B&B, but still a fairly nice stay.

Summary: Only decent thing was the breakfast. This property is nothing like the photos as advertised. It is a character building but very poorly maintained and there is no access to a river on the property even from the run down sheds outback. A sad decline from its original glory obviously.

Summary: Enjoyed our stay at By the River B&B. Room was clean and bed was comfy. Nice porch for coffee in the am or beverage at night and within walking distance to downtown. The only thing is that the TV did not work in our room as the network was not functioning, was not told this when checking in. Would stay again.
