Positive: A huge house at the end of a very long very narrow road - amazing location on an outcrop of rock basically. Even though there was a heat wave, the house stayed lovely and cool. Big terrace at back - too hot for this visit except after the sun went down but great for breakfast I would imagine normally. Very well equipped kitchen and two bathrooms. The owner bought us a box of veggies from her allotment twice during the week - delicious! A very comfy place with spectacular views of the electric storms! Safe secure off-street parking too.

Negative: The owners didn't take us to the house as they were busy serving lunch in their hotel, and it wasn't clear that the main front door was not where you enter. There is private parking at the side and there is a door there - would have been nice not to have spent so long trying to get in the front door! Also (and this may be because of the extreme heat), the lock on the front door was really stiff - almost impossible to use sometimes. It really needs replacing or oiling maybe - had some moments of panic when the key was stuck and we couldn't move it at all.
