Positive: Santa Catalina was the final stop on our two-week trip through Panama. The location turned out to be quite unique, as was the hotel. The reception desk was a table in the dining area, and the owner himself was responsible for welcoming guests and serving them, as was the case with everything else at this small hotel. At all our previous hotels, we'd ordered a taxi through reception because our route didn't allow for a rental car. Here, they gave us a taxi number to call ourselves, but we never managed to. So, we had to adapt and do everything on foot. It turned out to be no big deal—it's a 15-20-minute walk. :)) The room itself was very beautiful and large, with an ocean view. It was so large that the Wi-Fi in the second bedroom didn't work. We adjusted and spent more time on the terrace. :) At first, we didn't have enough dishes, but the owner said he couldn't provide more. We got used to it - we washed it more often :) At first, there wasn't enough light in the evenings, but we got used to that too :) Overall, if you don't get hung up on the details, it's super :)

Negative: One day, early in the morning, the power went out for about 10 hours. No one could say when the power would come back on. But it happened throughout the entire village. There's no reason to complain to the owner.

Positive: Olivier is a really relaxed and nice host. Very helpful and great service. Arranged our laundry and helped us with our transfer to Panama City and other stuff. Dany is a great cook and very pleasant person.

Positive: Stunning location, lovely staff (especially Danny) who work really hard to make your stay special. Phillip(the owner) is around all the time, ensuring everything runs smoothly and giving advice and help when needed. The evening meal, cooked by Danny, was delicious.

Positive: "The owner is a very kind and helpful Californian who is always available if you need anything. The stuff are also friendly and helpful. Our apartment was just like Charlie Harper’s, featuring a sea view, a kitchen, and a comfortable entryway. He also organized a relaxed tour to Coiba National Park for us. The issues mentioned by others are being addressed and fixed. Time Out has a very well-kept pool and a bar, making it hard for us to leave this little sanctuary."

Positive: The view from the pool is absolutely stunning. The pool area and facilities are perfectly oriented toward the beach, creating a constant sense of connection with the ocean and nature. We had the opportunity to stay in a suite, and the views were truly spectacular from every angle from the bathroom, the bedrooms, and the terrace. Every space feels open, peaceful, and immersed in the natural surroundings. We spent New Year’s there, and it was a wonderful experience for our family. Our 11-year-old daughter especially loved the pool and enjoyed every moment, which made the stay even more special for us. The personalized attention during the New Year’s Eve dinner was excellent. Sharing the evening with other guests felt very warm, comfortable, and well organized, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Overall, it was a memorable experience. We would gladly return and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a beautiful setting, great service, and a genuine beachfront experience.
